Happy Birthday

Hello! Here is another card that we made in class this month. We got to play with the new 2012-2014 In-Color card stock - Gumball Green (126840), Midnight Muse (126843), Primrose Petals (126841), Raspberry Ripple (126842), and Summer Starfruit (126839).

We used the Stripes Embossing folder (123128) for the background. And the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set (Clear 120510, Wood 117014). We also added a ton of bling on the cake from the candle flames to the middle layer of the cake to the cake stand using Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246).

The birthday cake is from the Embellished Events stamp set (Clear 126497, Wood 126495) and to color the cake, we used the 2012-2014 In-Color Stampin' Write markers (126856). For the candles on the cake, we used the Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write marker (119702).

I thought the ladies were going to kill me because of all the coloring and adding of the rhinestones, but they said they had fun and liked using the Stampin' Write markers. If you would like to get a full set of Stampin' Write markers with all of the color families and matching card stock, including all the In-Colors, at a fraction of the cost a month for four months. And as an added bonus, each month there will be a Hostess and the hostess will get $25 in hostess dollars to spend! Sounds like a great deal, right?!?! Email me and we can set up a Marker Share :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Congratulations

Hello everyone! Over the weekend, I got to hang out with friends and family at my monthly class. This month, I wanted to have an embellishments class and used the Button Buddies stamp set (Clear 122737, Wood 122735) and the new Embellished Events stamp set (Clear 126497, Wood 126495). I have wanted to use these stamp sets for such a long time and was so happy to finally use them for a class :)

For this card, we used the cute little duckie and the congratulations sentiment from the Embellished Events stamp set. That's what I like about this stamp set. There are matching sentiments and stamped images for all occasions.

We also used the new Argyle embossing folder (127750), the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch (118874) and the 2-1/2" Circle punch (120906).

And we got to use the Vintage Trinkets embellishments (118764). These add easy vintage touches with little brads and pins and the brads look like little buttons! How cute is that?!?! And aren't the safety pins so cute on a "baby" card?

Stay tuned for the other 5 cards that the ladies got to make in this month's class. And save the date! The next class will be Saturday, August 25. Feel free to email me if you would like to join us or if you have any questions.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your week :)

Guest Stamper - Marita

Hello! Today I would like to share some projects that my friend Marita made for her friend's bachelorette party. She made gifts for all the ladies who will be joining in on the fun festivities. Isn't she so sweet? And she is so super talented. Click here to check out her blog and to see all her other crafty creations.

Here is what she made for the ladies.... a gift bag with a key fob and a frame. I love the black, red and white color combo. So cute!

Here is a close up of the gift bag. Gotta love MDS! You can make labels and print out tags. Oh the possibilities! And I can't wait until MDS2 launches! There will be so many more features! So great :) OK... back to the gift bag...

And check out this frame! I so have to case this project. Such a great idea! She used White StazOn ink (106960) to stamp on the frame then she added a piece of Basic Black card stock (121045) to make the stamped image pop! And how adorable is that wedding dress? The Love & Laughter stamp set (Clear 125477, Wood 125475) is a must have for weddings, bridal showers and engagements. And how cute is that flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) on the dress?!

And this is DEFINITELY something that I have to case real soon! I love key fobs! This is a case from our up-upline Niki. Check hers out here. I'm going to have to remember to ask Marita how she made them because wouldn't they make wonderful gifts? Plus, I need a new sewing project so that my sewing machine doesn't feel lonely. hehehe.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend! Have a wonderful Saturday :)

Convention Recap Party

Hey everyone! Last night I got to hang out with my stampin' friends at Niki's downline meeting/Convention recap party. It was so much fun! Along with hearing all the great stories about Convention and news about what's coming up in the SU world, there were door prizes, prize patrol and recognitions :) I am DEFINITELY going to Convention next year!

We even got to work on a make and take. Stay tuned! I will of course share it with everyone but today I would like to say THANK YOU to my upline Nicole. She is so awesome and is so super supportive. And did I mention, crazy talented? Check out her blog that she shares with her sister Andrea. Click here to see all of their amazing projects.

I couldn't make it to Convention this year and my downlines couldn't go either but we each got a little surprise! Nicole is so thoughtful and even with all the fun and excitement going on, she thought of her downlines :) Look what she brought home for each of us! Reusable shopping bags!!!! Love it!

Aren't they super cute!?!?! So practical, too with how they fold up like they are pictured here. And I just love all the different SU patterns. I wonder which one I will pick for myself? OK, that's a silly question..... of course the Patio Party one is for me! It has CHARLETTE written all over it. I simply LOVE the butterflies :D hehehehe. And I can't wait to give the rest of the gals their Convention gifts.

Thanks again Nicole!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Friday :)

Create

Hello! I am very excited to see my stampin friends today :) My up-upline Niki is having a Convention Recap party for all her downlines and I can't WAIT to see everyone and to catch up and to learn all things Convention! I so have to go next year :) I know there will be so much to learn and so many stories and I will of course want to take notes. And what better way to take notes than to jot things down in a personalized notebook! And here is my notebook decorated with some SU fun :)

Of course I had to use one of my favorite DSPs - Summer Smooches (125409). I just love all the bright colors and with this pattern, you can feature all of them - Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo, Real Red, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White. I also used some Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon.

And since I want to use this notebook for anything SU related and for jotting down project ideas, I decided to use the sentiment "Create" from the Loving Thoughts stamp set (Clear 125845, Wood 125843). I used the Extra-Large Oval punch (119859) to punch out a window for the sentiment. And of course I used the new Elegant Butterfly (127526) and the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) to add a little something extra.

And it's been awhile since I've used the Blossom punch (125603) so I added three flowers to the front of my notebook. I still have some of those fabulous retired Summer Smooches fabric brads and used them for the centers of each flower. Making these notebooks are so fun! And so easy to make! You should try it :) And if you do, send me some pics. I would love to see how they turn out :D

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :)

Wish Big

Happy Birthday Uncle Eddie!

Today is my uncle's birthday and we wanted to send him a card to let him know that he is thought of on his special day. Here is the card that I made for him. I decided to go with something Clean and Simple for his card.

I went with the Bring on the Cake stamp set (Clear 121958, Wood 121899) again for this birthday card. I decided to go with wish BIG this time around. I thought it would go well on a guy card.  And I used the Stripes embossing folder (123128) to add some texture to the card.

And on the inside of the card, I used the same stamp set for the Happy Birthday sentiment. See how useful this stamp set is? If you don't have it yet, it's one that definitely should be on your wish list :)

Enjoy your your day! And thanks for stopping by :)

Thank You

Hello everyone! Here is a Thank You card that I made for Maureen, my new Origami Owl friend :) I met Maureen at an Origami Owl party that my up-upline Niki hosted. And I had so much fun that I wanted to host my own Origami Owl party :) Haven't heard about Origami Owl? Click here to check out Maureen's site and to learn more about telling your own story with jewelry. It is so much fun!

I wanted to use some Summer Smooches DSP (125409) and to layer colors, I used Whisper White (100730), Lucky Limeade (122926), Daffodil Delight (119683), and Island Indigo (122923) card stock.

And to add some texture to the card, I used the new Chevron embossing folder (127749). This folder is quickly becoming one of my new favorites :) But for those who know me, I love almost anything for the Big Shot ;)

I also wanted to add some Whisper White Baker's Twine (124262). I even tied a cute little bow to add an extra little something :)

For the THANK YOU sentiment, I used the Curly Cute stamp set (Clear 120510, Wood 117014). I'm telling you, the name of the stamp set speaks for itself. The sentiments are Curly.... and..... Cute :)

I can't wait for the next Origami Owl party! There are some charms that I still have my eye on :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a good start to your week :) My husband's friend at work celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago and we were a little late on giving her a gift and card. My husband says that it's OK since she was on vacation to celebrate her birthday, but still, I feel a little bad that we were late in sending her birthday wishes. Here is the birthday card that I made for her.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from one of my go-to birthday stamp sets Bring on the Cake (Clear 121958, Wood 121899). And I added some flowers using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), which I love to use on practically all my projects along with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246).

I added a couple butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die (114507). And on the butterflies, I added one Daffodil Delight and one Real Red Brights Designer Button (119747) and some Whisper White Baker's Twine (124262).

I hope she had a wonderful vacation and I hope she enjoyed her special day!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Monday :D

Happy Birthday Banner

Hi everyone! Yesterday was a fun day :) We went to a picnic by the Bay! It was a good day for a picnic, too. The sun was sure out and about! It was a tad bit on the hot side and thank goodness my friend Charlene brought some sun block because my husband and I totally forgot to put some on and we both started turning a bit red while we were eating the yummy food. Even I was turning a bit red! So yeah, the sun was out in full force! hehehe.

Here is the banner that I made for the birthday girl. I love making banners! They are so fun :D

I used the largest label from the Labels Collection Framelits (125598). I love framelits because there are so many sizes and possibilities! And I used the 2-1/2" Circle punch (120906) and the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch (118874). As for the letters, I used the new Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies (127553), which are so fun! And if you can get them, you should ;)

And I also used the new Elegant Butterfly punch (127526) and the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) to decorate the banner, too.

There were so many people at the park and I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to find the picnic site right away. Luckily, I saw the balloon that we put in her cube last week! Isn't this such a cute balloon?

And the birthday girl had pinwheels on each picnic table! They were so cute and some of them spun in the wind whenever the breeze from the Bay came through. I love pinwheels. Aren't they so much fun?!?!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and enjoy your Sunday :)

For Juliana

Happy Birthday Juliana!!

Hi everyone and happy Saturday! Today we get to celebrate a very special milestone birthday. My friend Juliana is celebrating with friends and family today and I can't wait to wish her a very Happy Birthday!!

Even though today is her actual birthday, at work we got to celebrate a little early :) The gals and I took the birthday girl out to lunch on Wednesday. We tried out a new little spot and it was pretty good! The funny thing about Wednesday was, at the end of the day, I kept waiting for Juliana to leave so that I could decorate her cube! hahahaha. She FINALLY left and I got to put up her bday banner, bring in her flowers and HUGE butterfly balloon :) And of course there was a card :) Here is the card that I made for her and we all filled it with birthday wishes :D

The "happy birthday with a cherry on top!" sentiment is from the A Word for You stamp set (Clear 120528, Wood 117032). I just had to use that stamp set because it goes so well with the other stamp set I wanted to use for this card.

To go with the happy birthday with a cherry on top sentiment I just had to use the Button Buddies stamp set (Clear 122737, Wood 122735) because it has cherries!! hehehe. Cute, right?!?!?! And of course, I had to bust out the Brights Designer Buttons (119747). I just LOVE how Stampin' Up! has so many stamp sets and embellishments that coordinate so well together :)

And I also took inspiration from Niki's From My Heart class. Click here to check out the card that inspired me. I love Stampin' Up! fabric and hoard it like crazy and I hardly ever use fabric on cards but I wanted to try it out on this one.

I hope Juliana enjoys her special day, I hope she has a wonderful time spending it with family and friends, and of course, I hope all of her birthday wishes come true!!!!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and go out and enjoy your weekend :D

For Ada

Hello everyone! Happy Friday :) As mentioned in yesterday's post, I made two different birthday cards for my cousins who are twins and today I'd like to share the second card. Here is the card that I made for Ada:

I love the new Elegant Butterfly punch (127526) and totally wanted to use it for her card. I also used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (Clear 123759, Wood 123757) which is the matching stamp set that goes with the punch. Isn't Stampin' Up! great like that? I love when stamp sets have a coordinating punch :) And of course, I added some bling to the butterflies using those fun Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246). And I used the Stripes embossing folder (123128) to add some texture to the card, too.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set (Clear 120510, Wood 117014). I love the font type used for this stamp set. It adds that little extra sweetness to each sentiment. This is another one of my favorite stamp sets because of the swirlies and because of the various sentiments.

And for the inside of the card, I reached for another one of my favorite stamp sets - Bring on the Cake (Clear 121958, Wood 121899). This time, I went with "Wishing you a wonderful day".

And I do hope she had a wonderful birthday and that she enjoyed her special day!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)
