Happy Halloween! card

Happy Friday everyone! This Halloween card I made. There's a witch, a ghost, a black cat and a mummy... so many fun characters for Halloween :)
I'm thinking I may need to make a few more of these cards so that my husband can hand them out to his friends at work :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Halloween Mummy

Hello everyone! Here is another fun little Halloween card that I made. I have seen so many versions of this guy and I've been wanting to try it out on a card. After playing around with different looks, I went with this one:

I used a few punches to make the eyes of the mummy and sponged up all the Very Vanilla pieces then attached the mummy bandages at different angles to give the card that mummy look and feel.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Bats fly at night

Hi and hello everyone! Here is another Halloween card. I went clean and simple for this one and simply stamped and sponged to get this look. I also used two different stamp sets that I normally would not even think to use together, but for Halloween I think it works perfectly :) I love the look of the trees with the bats flying around in the night sky.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

Cutesy Creepy Crawly

Hey everyone! Here is another punch art type Halloween card. This one was inspired by a little magnet that I made for my friends at work. I knew that for one of the cards I wanted to use the Stampin' Up! spiderweb embossing folder and this cutesy creepy crawly spider went well with it!
I used several punches to create this little guy... from circle punches to a scallop circle punches. I like the big eyes and you can even used googly eyes! How fun would that be?!?!?! hehe. This project was pretty easy to put together. Assembling the spider took the longest because we had to line up the little legs individually. It was fun making this card :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Halloween Treats

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a fun weekend :) Sorry for the late post today but I've been busy with party decorations and birthday cards. Stay tuned for those projects. I'll be sharing them with you soon. Today, I wanted to share the treats that I handed out to all my friends in my department at work. I got the idea from my friend and upline Nicole. It was also in the SU catalog but she inspired me to make them when she gave them to us awhile back.

They were so fun to make and they were a hit at work :) Click here to check out the witch's broom that Nicole made for us and she even has a pretty cool tutorial on how to make them. She's awesome :) My friend Marita and my husband had a great idea - making brooms with an "SF" tag on them since the San Francisco Giants swept in the World Series :D hehehehe. Fun, right?

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend :)

Don't forget about day light savings tomorrow!

Have a Wicked Halloween

Hello! Here is the card that I made for all my friends at work. Our group has grown a bit so I made a little more than last year and even made a little extra just in case. Now, for some reason, it took awhile to narrow down what I wanted to do for this year's Halloween card. It was driving me nuts! Gotta love my husband because he said that I was probably over thinking it and viola, this idea popped in my head! I decided to go with this CAS card :)

I've had the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821) for awhile now and have been wanting to use it for a project. And it was perfect for this card! I used Early Espresso card stock (118738) for the tree trunk, punched out a hole with the 2-1/2" circle punch (120906) because I wanted it to look like there was some sort of creature or monster hiding in the tree. For the eyes, I used the spiderweb stamp from the Wicked Cool stamp set (Clear 120600, Wood 118738), punched them out with the 1" circle punch (119868) and used Real Red ink (126949) instead of Basic Black ink (126980) then added some fun googly eyes. Very scary, don't you think? ;) hehe. The SPOOKY CREEP CRAWLY sentiment is from the Border Banter stamp set in the Holiday catalog (Clear 128930, Wood 128927).

Now, on the inside of the card, I added another scary little guy. I learned this trick from one of Niki's Halloween classes a couple of years ago. It's so fun to do and I love how it pops out and swings around when you open up the card. I learn a lot in Niki's classes. If you can, you should really stop by and check them out. Classes are so much fun, the ladies are great and Niki is awesome :) Click here to hop on over to her blog and see her class schedule.

On the inside of the card, I used the same stamp set, Wicked Cool, for the 'have a WICKED halloween' sentiment. And for that cute little spider, I used the Googly Ghouls stamp set (Clear 128063, Wood 128060). I wanted to go more cutesy than scary with this card and this stamp set was so fun to play with!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone had a fun Halloween and got lots of good treats and not so many tricks :) Have a great day!

Joshua's Invite

Happy Birthday Joshua!!

Today is such a wonderful day because my nephew is turning the big T-H-R-E-E! And what an awesome birthday, right? Halloween! Every year you get to dress up for your birthday! What?!?! How cool is that?!?!

To celebrate this special little guy's birthday, the family is getting together for some birthday fun! Josh chose his own costume this year and he made his Uncle Ben proud because he picked out Captain America!!!! hehehe. And to go with his costume, his mommy said it was OK to make that the theme of his party this year. Can I just say that my sister-in-law is awesome because she totally puts up with my volunteering to make anything party related :) Thanks Aly!!!! Here is the invitation that I sent out.

Of course, I had to get the OK from the hubby. I wanted to make sure that the Captain America shield looked OK :) I used the Stripes Folder (123128) for the background. And for the shield, I also went with the Big Shot and used the 3-1/2" Circle Originals die (121811), the 3" Circle Originals die (122125) and the Circles #2 Originals die (114526). I still had the retired Stars die so I used that, too. And for the number 3, I used the new Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies (127553). There was a whole lot of Big Shot (113439) action going on for this invite! But that's OK because I love anything Big Shot related ;)

And for the inside of the invite I turned to one of my other favorite SU tools - MDS2 :) And What's great about MDS2, is you can use any font that you have on your computer! So, I chose this fun font and of course, with the wording, I had to Avenger it up a bit, too ;)

Stay tuned for all the decorations from the party and of course for the birthday card that I made for my favorite 3 year old nephew!

And I would also like to wish Niki a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today, too :) Halloween is a pretty awesome birthday, isn't it? And I feel really bad, but your birthday card will make it's way to you! Eventually ;) It's just so hard to try and make a card for the card making guru! hehe.

And of course.... Happy Birthday to my grandma! Happy Birthday Mamang :) For as long as I can remember, Halloween was always a time of celebration and we are so blessed to be able to celebrate another year with her :D

Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and happy Halloween :D

Frightening Feline

Hello everyone! Is it just me, or did October sneak up on some of you, too? Oh well, even though it snuck up on me pretty quick, I'm super excited October is here! That means Halloween is just around the corner!!!! I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for Halloween cards and treats this year and we still need to go pick out our pumpkins for carving! And get decorations for the house and for work! EEKKK! I feel so behind!

Well, to get that inspiration going, here is a pretty cool card that one of my friends and fellow demos got to demonstrate at our Stamp Camp last month.

That Frightening Feline (128105) stamp is so super cute! And the distressing around the card stock layers is a great touch for this card. And adding that little strip of Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (126906) is another nice touch :) But I'm a little biased because I like banners. hehe.

The 'happy halloween' sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (Clear 127802, Wood 115370). And for those Big Shot fans out there, isn't that Argyle folder (127750) so cute?!?! It was a must have for me and I ordered it right away!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend :)

CAS Halloween

Hello and happy Saturday! Hope you guys are having a great weekend :) Today I'd like to share another card that we got to make in Niki's Stamp-a-Stack this week. This halloween card is clean and simple and oh so cute!

I really like how the Spider Web embossing folder (120889) looks on Whisper White paper (100730). And I like the banners using the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (126906). With Halloween just around the corner, I think I'll have to order some of this DSP :) And I need to get some of that 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon (127837). Love the Basic Gray with Basic Black stripes.

And look at that little spider! So cute!! This little guys is from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set (Clear 123946, Wood 123944). Which has been on my wish list for awhile, along with the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set (Clear 121187, Wood 120857). And with the holidays quickly sneaking up on me, I think I have to get them soon :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Saturday!! Have a great weekend everyone!
