Happy Birthday card

Hey everyone! Here is another card that I made for one of my husband's friends at work. His birthday is actually on July 4th, which is a pretty cool birthday :)
Last year, I went with the whole red, white and blue theme, but this year, I decided to go with more neutral colors. To add some texture, I embossed each strip with the Houndstooth embossing folder (123134). Then, I sponged each piece before adding them to the card. I also stamped the happy birthday sentiment on a banner.
Even though I didn't go with a 4th of July look and feel, I did go with adding quite a few stars on his birthday card. I wanted to still kind of have the stars and stripes sort of feel to the card. Hopefully he likes it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day :)

happy birthday

Hello! Here is a birthday card I made. I just LOVE banners and when I saw this hostess set, I knew that I just HAD to get it! So cute!!!!
And of course, with these banners in mind, I wanted to try something a little different with the card. We adhered the happy birthday banners onto small Popsicle sticks.
And to add some texture to the card we used the Chevron embossing folder. I love how the texture just pops on the card stock!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Happy Birthday to you!

Hello! Here is a clean and simple birthday card for you guys today.
I got to play with the big shot, which is ALWAYS fun! I used to different embossing folders to add different textures to the card. Gotta love the Stripes embossing folder and the Polkadots embossing folder. I used them A LOT!
And the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!" sentiment was fun to play with too because not only did I get to stamp this cute shape, but we got to use a matching punch! Woohoo! Gotta love coordinating punches!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day :)

A Happy Father's day card

Hello! Here is another card I made. I went with browns and blues for this clean and simple Father's Day card.
It's been awhile since I've used the Argyle embossing folder (127750) and I thought it would make a nice touch on this card. I like how the texture just pops on the Midnight Muse card stock (126843). And we sponged the pieces of the card with one of the new in colors - Baked Brown Sugar ink (131174).
The "Happy Father's Day" sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (Clear 122652, Wood 128547). We also got to play with some of the new Neutrals Designer Buttons (130031). I do miss the designer buttons from last year's catalog, but these are quickly growing on me. Especially for masculine cards which I need to make more of!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend :)

Amazing You

Hey everyone! I have a CAS card for you guys today. I love clean and simple cards, especially if I get to use the big shot and punches! hehe. I just love the Big Shot (113439) and ALL of the SU punches. No, I'm not too obsessed, just a huge fan ;)
And what's awesome about these embossing folder and punch is that they coordinate!!!! It's like Stampin' Up! was reading my mind! Well, they probably read most of our minds because if you're like me, I've been a little spoiled by punching or big shot-ing shapes out instead of grabbing my scissors ;)
For this card, I used the new Mosaic punch (131267) and the new Modern Mosaic embossing folder (129984). So much fun and so easy!! Just emboss some card stock then punch out some DSP and you're all set!!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Thank You

Hello! And Happy Friday :) So, don't know about you guys, but as soon as the new Stampin' Up! 2013-2014 catalog went live, I just HAD to place my first order and yay that lovely UPS guy came by yesterday to drop off a box of new and fun goodies :D They were floating around the top of my new Wish List so, I got the new 2013-2015 In Colors - baked brown sugar, strawberry slush, crisp cantaloupe, pistachio pudding, coastal cabana - and when my husband asked me to make him a thank you card for his manager, I knew I wanted to try them out.
OK, so I must admit, I am a HUGE fan of Stampin' Up! punches and when I saw this punch, it was a must have for me. The new Pansy punch (130698) is so cute and of course, I had to get the coordinating stamp set. Stay tuned for a project using the Flower Shop stamp set (Clear 130942, Wood 130939). And another thing that I love about SU is their bundles! So, if you like the punch and the stamp set, you can get them both at a 15% discount by ordering the Flower Shop bundle (Clear 132726, Wood 132727).
Oh and check out some of the new ribbon! I used some Pistachio Pudding 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim (130020). This new ribbon is so pretty! I can't wait to use them on other projects. And I do like the new Very Vintage Designer Buttons (129327) so I added a few to the Pansy flowers. The "Thank You" sentiment is from the Four You stamp set (Clear 130538, Wood 130535).
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Friday :)

18th birthday card

Hello! My little cousin turned 18 a few weeks ago and we got to celebrate with her over the weekend. I still can't believe that she's a young lady now! My how time flies! At the party, we played a video for her with all these lovely pictures of her growing up and let me tell you... there was not one dry eye in the room! Ok, maybe just amongst the ladies... but the gents were pretty moved too even though there weren't any tears for them ;)
I had so much fun making this card for her. I went clean and simple but used my favorite tool - the Big Shot - to add some texture, cut out this shape, cut out the "18" and the pretty butterfly.
And you gotta love the SU silver glimmer paper! Adds so much lovely bling-bling to a card or any project :)
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Mother's Day card

Hello everyone! Here is the mother's day card that I made for friends at work and for family that I got to visit. I totally dropped the ball on mailing out these cards to all my mommy friends and to family out of state. I'm so sorry :( But I hope you all had a wonderful mother's day :)
I went clean and simple with this card and used negative space to sponge in these pretty butterflies. I added some itty bitty flowers and a bitty butterfly with pearls to add some dimension.
I also used an embossing folder to add some texture to the edge of the card. I really do like this embossing folder, it adds that fanciness and elegance to cards that I think is pretty :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

best wishes

Hello everyone! Here is another clean and simple card for you guys today. I love the look of this card and it's another CASE from our demo magazine. I'm glad that the ladies in class liked the card too. Super cute and super quick and easy to make :)
The "best wishes" sentiment is from the Wishes Your Way stamp set (Clear 129156, Wood 129153). And you can find it in the Spring catalog. And to add a little border to the card, we used the Framed Tulips Folder (121809).
To get this lovely look on the butterfly, we used the En Français background stamp (109521) and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die (114507). And we also added a small flower using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack (118309). For a little bling, we added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel (119246).
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :)

Birthday Card

Hello! My husband's childhood buddy celebrated his birthday this weekend and we were able to spend some time with him.
With the 1-1/4" Square Punch (119865) and the1-3/8" Square Punch (119877) making it on the retired list, I knew I wanted to use them for this card. And if these punches are still on your wish list, this is the perfect time to get them because the retiring accessories are only available while supplies last!
To add some texture to the card, I used the Houndstooth embossing folder (123134) and added some Naturals Designer Buttons (127554). I also used some Early Espresso Baker's Twine (123124).
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thanks so much

Hello everyone and happy Friday :) Here is another card from this month's stamping class. Another clean and simple one for you guys and another CASE from our SU Demo magazine. I really like getting ideas from that magazine :)
To add some texture, we used the Stripes embossing folder and to get that oval shape, we used one of the oval framelits and the stamped image just popped on through!
Of course, I had to use the Bitty Butterfly punch and that ever so handy tiny flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack :) I love these punches!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday! Enjoy your weekend :)

Thank U

Hello! Here is another card that we got to make in my stamping class last month. This was a CASE from a magazine that we SU demos get. I love flipping through that magazine to get inspiration and project ideas. I did change this card up a bit but I do like how it turned out.
To add some texture to the card, we used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821). And used the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch (119854) to add some dimension behind the sentiment.
The "Thank U" sentiment is from the A Round Array stamp set (Clear 129090). And what's great about this stamp set is that there is a coordinating punch! The 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch. And what's even better is that this set comes in a bundle - the Spring Surprise Bundle (Clear 133899)! I love when SU creates product that coordinate :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Babies fill your heart with happy

Hello! Today I'd like to share another card from my monthly stamping class. This is a card for any occasion for babies and the ladies now have a card for any such occasion on hand. I was excited to use a background stamp and new I just had to use the Distressed Dots background stamp (122815). I love the look of it :)
To add some texture to the card we used the little hearts folder from the Adorning Accents Folders (125601) which I thought would be really cute with this card. To get all the ovals, we used one of the framelits from the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies and the Extra-Large Oval punch (119859). Oh and we also used the oval folder from the Designer Frames Folders (123130).
The "babies fill your heart with happy" stamp is from the Cuddles & Kisses stamp set (Clear 127314, Wood 127312). We also used the Small Heart punch (117193) and added a Large Rhinestone Basic Jewel (129324).
Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for stopping by!

Wish Big

Hello! Here is another card that we got to make in last month's stamping class. I decided to try and use colors that I don't normally use. I actually went outside my box and grabbed some Marina Mist and Cajun Craze, which is not a combo I usually use. I do like how these colors popped on this clean and simple card.
I also used some Parker’s Patterns Designer Series Paper (131021) to tie all the colors together. And to go with the stripes on the DSP, I used the Chevron Folder (127749) to add some texture to the card. I distressed the edges of all the layers using the Stampin’ Distress Tool (127562).
The "wish BIG" sentiment is from the Bring on the Cake stamp set (Clear 121958, Wood121899).
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Happy Birthday Card

Hello! Here is a birthday card that I made for a friend who celebrated his birthday yesterday. My hubby and I were able to send it out earlier this week and we hope that his birthday card gets to him on time and finds him well!
I used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821) to add some texture to the card. And I also had a bit of fun with some banners on this card. Can you tell? hehe. I just love banners. Once I got started cutting them out, I just couldn't stop! But I do like how the card turned out :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Happy Birthday Card

Hey everyone! Here is a birthday card that I made for my friend who's special day is today :) When I thought about making her card, I knew that I wanted to use some framelits and a matching stamp set. I love how Stampin' Up! creates products that coordinate so well together!
When I saw the Secret Garden Bundle (Clear 131099, Wood 131100) in the Spring Catalog, I knew I just HAD to get it! You can also buy them separately. You can get just the Secret Garden Framelits Dies (129372) or just the Secret Garden stamp set (Clear 129144, Wood 129141).
After stamping and cutting out the flowers and leaves with the framelits, I colored the flowers using my Stampin' Write markers then stacked everything together to form this bouquet on the front of the card. I also used the Perfect Polka Dots Folder (117335) to add some texture behind the bouquet of flowers.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :)
