Just For You

Good morning everyone!

Today, I would like to share a project that my awesome upline Nicole surprised me with awhile back. We were supposed to meet up so that I could lend her an XL Bigz Die for a project she was working on, but she totally surprised me with a gift and a couple of projects. Isn't she so sweet?!?!

And the best part is that we got to spend some crafting time together :) It's always fun getting together with friends to craft and to chat. Here is the first project that she had for me. (Stay tuned for the second project)

Not sure if you can tell, but there's a sneak peak item that we used on this project. There's a new stamp set that is on the top of my new 2012-2013 catalog wish list! It's called Everything Eleanor. It's such a pretty stamp set. I can't wait! And you should jot that stamp set down because it's a set you will want to add to your wish list, too!

Here's a closer shot of the card that you can pull out and write a personal message on. The note that Nicole had written for me was so sweet and inspiring. Thanks Nicole for all the support and guidance :)

I have such a wonderful upline and SU team. These ladies are super awesome and creative. I love learning from them and you can join our team now for just $99! How awesome is that? And not only can you join our amazing team for such a low, low price, but you can also customize your Starter Kit today! You can email me if you have any questions! You Are Simply Wonderful

Good morning and Happy Sunday!

By the time most of us wake up this morning, my friend Jamie would have accomplished something amazing even before we grab our first cup of coffee or put together something for breakfast. Last Monday, she left with some friends to go to Europe for two weeks and on May 27, she committed to running a 26.2 mile marathon in Scotland!

That is so amazing to me and I wanted to make her a card to tell her how simply wonderful she is. It is such a wonderful challenge to face and conquer and I can't wait to hear all about it! Oh so inspiring! I was able to give her this card at the San Francisco Giants game that we went to together before she flew out to travel across the pond.

But hello, I totally forgot to take some pictures! Luckily, she's such a nice friend and she sent me these pictures. Oh wait, what's that cute little guy peaking out from behind the plant? Why it's the Brian Wilson gnome that we all stood in line for! Some people stayed in line over THREE hours!!!! Crazy, huh?!?!?!?! Thank goodness we didn't stay in line that long, but boy was I a little nervous because I thought for a split second that we wouldn't get one! Because hello! We were lined up at Pier 48! But all was well in the world because everyone in our group got one :) yay! hehehe.

Congratulations Jamie
on finishing your
26.2 mile Marathon!!

Have a relaxing Sunday everyone and thanks for stopping by :)

Graduation Gift Card Holder

Happy Saturday!

Later today, we are off to a graduation party. My husband's little cousin is having a party to celebrate his 8th grade graduation. Golly, I remember when he was barely starting elementary school and now he's going to be a Freshman in High School! My oh my how time flies!

Now, what kind of present to get him and of course... what kind of card to make him!?!?!? The graduate did mention that he would appreciate any donations to his non-existing funds at the moment. hehe. He's so funny. So, we decided on a gift card. And that helped me come up with the card.... a gift card holder :)

Here's what I came up with:

And since I've been having fun making graduation caps, I of course had to add one on the card. And wouldn't you know it, there goes that "HAPPY GRADUATION" sentiment from my ever so useful Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set again :)

And look what's inside... a slot to hold a gift card!

And behind the slot for the gift card, I stamped the  'congratulations' sentiment.

I've seen this fun gift card holder done in so many different ways and this was my go at it :)

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!

Cascading Card

Good morning everyone and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Here is one more make and take from Nicole's downline meeting. Yes, I know, I've had a lot to share with you from our downline meeting, but there was so much crafting fun that day and I had to show it all :)

This cascading card was so fun! Nicole case'd this card from Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie. Check out her cascading card here. She has so many amazing projects so check out the rest of her stuff!

So, this is how it looks closed.....

And then... you pull it open... and this is what it looks like....

WOW!! Pretty cool, huh?!?!?! I can't wait to try it out myself!

Have a wonderful day everyone and enjoy your Friday! Woohoo!!!! Thanks for stopping by :D

Happy Graduation

Good morning everyone!

 Congratulations on
Your Graduation Day!!!!

Today is a great day because we get to celebrate a wonderful accomplishment. Today, my brother-in-law is graduating from college :) He is walking at his college commencement later this morning and we can't wait to clap, yell, whoop and cheer as he walks along with his fellow 2012 graduates.

This is the card that I made for him. I created the graduation cap with Basic Black card stock. I wanted to personalize the graduation tassel and I know that the colors of the college are red and gold, but I couldn't find any red or gold twine. And I wasn't sure what the color of his school is. Instead, I decided to use some Whisper White Baker's Twine to make the tassel.

To have representation of at least one of the college colors, I used Real Red card stock and the soon to be retired Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Medium Sizzlits Dies for his graduating year. I love, love, love, love this set of dies and they are a MUST HAVE for letters and numbers. So grab them up in the Retiring Ink, Paper & Accessories section of our online store before they're gone! Click here to add it to your shopping cart now. And don't forget to choose me as your Demonstrator :)

For the "Happy Graduation" sentiment, I turned to one of my go-to sentiment stamp sets. The Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set is another must have for card making. I love how there are so many sentiments in one stamp set.

Congratulations again to my brother-in-law on his graduation. And congratulations to all the other graduates of Class of 2012! May the future be filled with all the promise that your dreams possess :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Thursday!

Bridal Shower

Hello!

Here is a card that I made for a friend a few weeks back. She was going to a friend's bridal shower and asked me to make a card for her. Isn't she so sweet? When she asked me to make a card, I immediately thought of the Love & Laughter stamp set from the now retired Occasions Mini catalog. I wanted to use the dress on a hanger stamp and came up with this:

And the neat part of the card was that I added a flower using a punch from the itty bitty shapes punch pack and the bride-to-be actually has a flower on her wedding dress in the exact same spot I placed it on the card! Who knew?!?! Pretty cool though, huh? :)

I also used the bride-to-be's favorite colors and snuck in some green using Lucky Limeade for the "Congratulations" sentiment since green is my friend's favorite color :D

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

Beveled Windowpanes

Good morning everyone!

I know it's been awhile, but as promised, here is the card I made for the swap at Nicole's downline meeting. Click here to check out the lovely tea party she had set up for us! And click here and here to check out the awesome swaps that the other ladies brought. And click here for Nicole's wonderful gift to us :)

Now for my swap, I wanted to somehow frame one of the three butterflies. I also wanted to feature an accessory, so I decided to use a beveled windowpane on the card.

The Beveled Windowpanes (121881) are not only on the retired list, but they are also included on the Discounted Retired Products list. Click here to check them out. And click here to check out other discounted retired products. I also like using them to frame little pictures in projects. I've made a shadowbox for my parents and I'll share that with you soon :) I will also be using these beveled windowpanes, which come in 3 sizes and 12 pieces to a pack, in other family tree shadowboxes. I've been commissioned to make about 5 of them! Oh boy!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day :)

Guest Stamper - Joshua

Good morning everyone! Happy Sunday!!

Today I would like to share a couple of projects that my little nephew made for his mommy and daddy. He is turning out to be quite the little crafter :)

This canvas project was for my sister-in-law for Mother's Day. Look at that cute face! OK, maybe I'm biased ;) And look at those cute buttons, flowers and bling!

And here is the card that he made for my brother's birthday. Gotta love projects with little hand prints! Finger painting is so much fun with this kid. Love it!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :D

For Mom

Happy Birthday Mommy!!

Today is an oh so very, very special day because we get to celebrate the birthday of an AMAZING woman! Our mother :) My brother and I have been so blessed to have such a loving, patient, selfless and understanding mom. We are who we are today because of the love that she has shown and given us through the years. Her unconditional love is never ending and her loving heart has grown to include my husband, my sister-in-law and my nephew.

This is the card that we will be giving to her today. I went with Pretty in Pink and Bravo Burgundy because she loves pink :)

Now isn't that Medallion background stamp so pretty? It is on the retired list so grab it while you still can! Click here if you would like to snap it up and order yours now. You only have until May 31 before it goes away! I also added a large pearl to the center of the Medallion to add a little something extra. Plus, my mom likes pearls :)

For the sentiment, I used the Loved Ones stamp set from the now retired Occasions Mini catalog. I love how there's a flower inside the letter 'O' in 'MOM'. To accent it, I used the Bravo Burgundy Stampin' Write Marker. And I used the Decorative Label punch in two different ways :)

Have a wonderful birthday Mom!
And I hope you know how much we love you
and how deeply we appreciate all that you do for us.
LOVE YOU MOM!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Gifts for Mother's Day

Good morning everyone! TGIF :D

This year for Mother's Day, I jumped at the chance to feed my new obsession - Jewelry Making. I am loving every minute when I get to sit down and make some jewelry. For the gals on my team at work, I made them these bracelets. When I made each bracelet, I used beads that reminded me of each one of them :)

I gave this one to Char, which totally matched her outfit that day.

I gave this one to Catherine, which did not match her outfit. hehe.

I gave this one to Patricia, which did match her outfit but she usually wears a lot of pretty bling so she only wore it for a little bit.

And this one was for Marita, and this bracelet also matched her outfit so she wore it that day like Char did :)

I also made bracelets for my mom, for my sister-in-law (which my nephew took credit for haha) and for my mother-in-law. I didn't get to take pictures of those bracelets but since I did get requests for matching earrings, hopefully I'll remember to take pictures of them so that I can share them with you :)

Enjoy your Friday!!!!

For Mother's Day

Hello everyone!

With all the different sets of Mother's Day cards that I made this year, I wanted to try out some of my new pre-order items on one of the cards. I must say that I am a huge fan of all my new product and I am so excited about the launch of the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog!

Looking at the card, what do you see that's new? Maybe new colors? Maybe new DSP? Maybe a new bigz die? Maybe a new framelit?

As most of you already know, I love anything and everything Big Shot and these new framelits are definitely a must have! Well, at least for me they are ;) Here's a close up shot of one of the new framelits. Cute, right?!

If you're like me and can't wait to browse through the new catalog, then join us for a Stampin' Up! Catalog Launch Party on Saturday, June 2! You will get your very own catalog and a chance to play with amazing new product. If you still need to send in your registration form, do it soon and I'll make sure to reserve you a spot and have your materials ready. If you need a registration form, email me and I can send you one.

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by :)

Another Mother's Day Card

Good morning!

Here is another Mother's Day card that I made for my friends and family. I was excited to try out the versamark technique and I decided to try it on some 5 x 7 cards.

Again, love using punches and embossing folders :) I had to get a little creative with the polka dots embossing folder on the 5 x 7 cards since they were larger than the embossing folder.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:
Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402)
Large Oval Punch (119855)
Scallop Oval Punch (119856)
Natural Hemp Twine (100982 - this is on the retired list so get some before they're gone!)
Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (117335)
Mixed Bunch Stamp Set (Carry over stamp set from Occasions Mini - Clear 125537, Wood 125535)
Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set (115370)

Have a wonderful day!

For my Brother

Happy Birthday Brother!!

Good morning everyone. Today is a very special day because it's my brother's birthday :) Growing up, I never really got to clock in a lot of play time hours with my dolls and have tea parties with them since I didn't have a sister. Instead, it was all about G.I Joe, Transformers, He-Man or Teddy Ruxpin (yeah sorry brother, I had to bust that one out hehe), amongst many other toys. Don't get me wrong, I did have Barbie dolls, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, My Child Dolls and Cabbage Patch Kids but I could never get my brother to play with them. Instead, can someone tell me why I was always Cobra or the Decepticons? haha.

It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do for his birthday card. But then I thought about all those toys that we used to play with (and all the toys that my brother and husband STILL play with) and I decided to bust out my Cricut to create this:

Of course I had to SU this card up a bit so I used the Loved Ones stamp set from the now retired Occasions Mini catalog for the Happy Birthday Brother sentiment. Here's a close-up of the Autobot symbol. I thought it would be fitting since he always got to be the good guys while I got defaulted to playing the bad guys. hehe. Guess that's one of the many roles of the older sister, huh?

OK Brother, I hope you enjoy your special day and don't worry, your SF Giants alternate away jersey is on it's way!

Thanks everyone for stopping by! Have a great day :)

Simple Mother's Day Card

Happy Monday!

Here is another Mother's day card that I made for friends and family. I went with simple on this card. I wanted to showcase the pretty designer paper and some punches.

And what's great about this paper is that one side has the pretty pattern and the other side is a solid color so I didn't have to break out other card stock except for the flowers. And yes, there's more bling :)

Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card:
Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402)
Modern Label Punch (119849)
Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309)
Basic Rhinestones Jewels (119246)
Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set (115370)

Enjoy your day and start to the week :)
