Joshua's Invite

Happy Birthday Joshua!!

Today is such a wonderful day because my nephew is turning the big T-H-R-E-E! And what an awesome birthday, right? Halloween! Every year you get to dress up for your birthday! What?!?! How cool is that?!?!

To celebrate this special little guy's birthday, the family is getting together for some birthday fun! Josh chose his own costume this year and he made his Uncle Ben proud because he picked out Captain America!!!! hehehe. And to go with his costume, his mommy said it was OK to make that the theme of his party this year. Can I just say that my sister-in-law is awesome because she totally puts up with my volunteering to make anything party related :) Thanks Aly!!!! Here is the invitation that I sent out.

Of course, I had to get the OK from the hubby. I wanted to make sure that the Captain America shield looked OK :) I used the Stripes Folder (123128) for the background. And for the shield, I also went with the Big Shot and used the 3-1/2" Circle Originals die (121811), the 3" Circle Originals die (122125) and the Circles #2 Originals die (114526). I still had the retired Stars die so I used that, too. And for the number 3, I used the new Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies (127553). There was a whole lot of Big Shot (113439) action going on for this invite! But that's OK because I love anything Big Shot related ;)

And for the inside of the invite I turned to one of my other favorite SU tools - MDS2 :) And What's great about MDS2, is you can use any font that you have on your computer! So, I chose this fun font and of course, with the wording, I had to Avenger it up a bit, too ;)

Stay tuned for all the decorations from the party and of course for the birthday card that I made for my favorite 3 year old nephew!

And I would also like to wish Niki a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today, too :) Halloween is a pretty awesome birthday, isn't it? And I feel really bad, but your birthday card will make it's way to you! Eventually ;) It's just so hard to try and make a card for the card making guru! hehe.

And of course.... Happy Birthday to my grandma! Happy Birthday Mamang :) For as long as I can remember, Halloween was always a time of celebration and we are so blessed to be able to celebrate another year with her :D

Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and happy Halloween :D

Birthday Banners

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to share the birthday banners that I made for my friend Catherine. I went with lots of bright colors and butterflies. After my hands stopped shaking from watching that amazing World Series and seeing our beloved SF Giants become the 2012 World Series Champions (yay!!!!), I went back to finish crafting. Here are a couple shots of the banners when I finished.

And here are the banners in action. Catherine was talking to one of the other gals at her desk and I told her to not return to her desk until I said it was clear. hehe. We needed to set up the banners without Catherine sitting at her desk. haha. We hung up the Happy B-Day banner at the entrance of her cube.

And we strung up the butterflies banner inside her cube.

And this banner was strung up above her monitor so she could see it while she works :)

For her birthday banner, I used the Floral District DSP because of all the pretty bright colors.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :)

Bust out the Brooms!!!!

SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP!!!!
The San Francisco Giants
are the
2012 World Series Champions!

Yeah Baby! Wooohoooooo. What a World Series, right? AMAZING!!!!!! My heart was racing, it was hard to breathe at times and counting down to the last strike, I could not sit down! I was even trying to craft but my hands were shaking! hehehehe. So, today, I will be taking a break from being crafty and talk about some orange and black :)

Here are the boys celebrating after their much deserved win! Group hug :D

And here are some collectibles and programs that you can get in the shop on mlb.com. I must admit, my husband and I jumped online again to get our San Francisco Giants World Series Champions gear :) We were so excited! And we'll still probably grab up some gear if we see any in stores. hehe.

And I have to take a minute to talk about one of my favorite players. Buster Posey of the SF Giants paused from their Game 3 preparations on Saturday, October 27 at Comerica Park to accept the Hank Aaron Award as the outstanding offensive performer in the National League. Wooohooo!!! Posey led Major League Baseball with a .336 average, becoming the first National League catcher to win the batting title since Ernie Lombardi of the Boston Braves in 1942. The 25-year-old Florida State product led the Giants in homers (24), RBIs (103), doubles (39), walks (69), on-base percentage (.408) and slugging (.549). Pretty awesome, right?

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for the projects that I was trying to work on while watching the World Series with my husband. My hands finally stopped shaking and I was able to catch my breathe and finished them. So, tomorrow, I'll get back to the craftiness :) Have a great day!!

For Catherine

Happy Birthday Catherine!!

Hello and happy Sunday! Today is a special day because it's my friend Catherine's birthday :) This is the card that I made for her and I'll be giving it to her on Monday. I wanted to do something extra special for her card so I busted out the Afternoon Daydream Simply Scrappin’ Kit (126927). I've been hoarding it ever since I got it. I know, baby steps!

I love how these kits have so many elements that coordinate with each other. Each kit has 3 sheets of card stock stickers, 6 sheets of double sided paper and 8 sheets of card stock. So many possibilities!!!! I also embossed some of the card stock with the Perfect Polka Dots Folder (117335) from the Annual catalog and the Lacy Brocade Folder (127819) from the Holiday catalog.

To add a little something extra, I also added some Dazzling Details (124117) to the edges of some of the butterfly and designer stickers that I added to the card.

The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from the Memorable Moments stamp set (Clear 126682, Wood 126680).  I really like how the font is so fancy :)

I hope the birthday girl enjoys her special day today! And note to self - I still have to set up her birthday lunch :) Oh! And maybe Catherine will be sharing her birthday with a special little guy that's coming into the world soon :D

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

More Single Stamps!!!!

Hello! A few weeks ago, Stampin' Up! announced that for a limited time until January 2, 2013, we can now order single stamps from the Word Play, Perfectly Penned, and Seasonal Sayings Stamp Sets. Don't know about you, but I was pretty excited when this was announced. And it looks like I'm not the only one because both demonstrators and customers love them and SU has added more single stamps to the list!

Here are the flyers for the single stamps from the Word Play, Perfectly Penned, and Seasonal Sayings Stamp Sets (you can click on the images to print out the PDF, too):

And here are the flyers for the ten additional individual images - including three images that you have never seen before! How exciting is that?!?!?!?! I know I'll be ordering some on my next order ;)

Here are several things to remember about ordering single stamps:

  • These stamps are available on any order type-customer, demonstrator, workshop, or online.
  • You can find the stamp item numbers on the flyers.
  • For now, the single stamps can be ordered in the online store.
  • These stamps won't be sent to you in the typical cases or packaging; they'll be packaged in cello bags. If you'd like a case for your stamp, you can buy the Clear-Mount Stamp Cases that come in packs of four (119105).
  • This offer is available for clear-mount stamps only.
  • The stamps won't come with a Clear-Mount Block, and you'll need to buy a block separately if you don't already have one. The recommended block sizes can be found on the flyers.
  • There's no limit on how many pieces you can buy.
  • Remember that this is a pilot program, so take advantage of it while you can!
Have fun shopping and email me if you have any questions

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend :)

For Jenevene

Happy Birthday Jenevene!

Hey everyone! Here is a card that I made for a friend at work. Today is her special day :) I decided to go with different blues and surprise, surprise - butterflies! hehe. I love butterflies, but it's also a work thing so I had to add them to her birthday card ;)

I love the new Elegant Butterfly punch (127526) and I practically use it on everything!  I layered each butterfly on top of a scallop circle that I punched out using the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch (119854). And on the butterfly, I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246) on the mini scallop circle that's included in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309). All girls love a little bling, right? ;)

And I added some Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (126847) because I felt like it needed a little extra something. The 'happy birthday' sentiment is from the Family Reunion stamp set (Clear 122712, Wood 122710). I was going to try and use the word window punch or the modern label punch but decided to go with snipping the ends to create a banner. I'm such a big fan of banners :)

Speaking of banners, stay tuned for the Birthday Banner that I made for the birthday girl :) I hope she likes her banner and her card!! And I hope all her birthday wishes come true!!

I also wanted to wish my Lola a very happy birthday. Wherever she is, I hope she knows that we love her and we are always thinking of her. We miss her every day and we are very blessed and thankful for all of the years that we were able to spend with her.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Guest Stamper - Chan

Thank you Chan!

Wow, my stamping friend Chan is so super sweet! She always thinks of us gals in our little stamping group whenever a special day or event comes up and she always sends a lovely card! Here is the card that she sent me and Ben for our Anniversary :) Isn't it so pretty?!?!?!

I'm such a big fan of the Big Shot and love that she embossed the card using the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127819) and  used the Paper Doily Sizzlits (125592).

And love the new in color ribbon. Isn't it so cute? And there's that First Edition Specialty DSP (121878). See? You can use it for all kinds of cards and projects. So versatile :)

You should hop on over to tworosiecheeks and check out Chan's other lovely creations. She has some really cute stuff!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Happy Father's Day

Hello! Here is another CAS Black and White card from Niki's class last week. I really do like how the black, white and gray look together on a card. Add some Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (126906) and emboss with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821) and you add some texture to the background of the card. You can get both products from the Holiday Catalog.

I have this stamp set and hardly ever use it. I'm glad that we got to use it on this card. Gives me some great ideas on how to use it especially since it's such a pretty stamp set. The Lovely As a Tree stamp set (Clear 127793, Wood 115026) has several types of trees that you can use on various cards and projects.

Oh and we also sponged all around the card. I really do like the look it creates and it's fun to do, too. And the 'Happy Father's Day' sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (Clear 127802, Wood 115370). This is a must have stamp set so go get yours now or add it to your wish list :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Let's Go Giants!!!!

Hello! What a GREAT game last night! At least for SF Giants fans it was! hehehe. And so many people were probably singing in the rain at AT&T Park :D I know I was singing and dancing, jumping and cheering in my family room!

My husband and I were so excited and when we saw those pretty cool looking National League Championship shirts that the players had on last night, we totally geeked out and went online to place our orders for NL Champs gear. hehe.

And of course, today I wanted to talk about our beloved SF Giants and I had to do it with some SU style. So, here is an MDS2 page for you guys today.

I think I may have to print this out and frame it :) And with the printing prices for My Digital Studio projects being slashed forever, it makes it so much easier to create and order on MDS2. Click here to check out the new prices for all the projects that you can create using MDS2. And click here to download MDS2 to try it out FREE for 30 days.

just for you

Hey everyone! This is another card that we got to make in Niki's Black and White class. I love the layout and the layering with all the different punches. I also like how we embossed the bottom part of the card using the Perfect Polka Dots Folder (117335) and used the Basic Gray 1/4" Stitched ribbon (126879) to hide the line that the embossing folder left on the card.

Don't you just love how the Stampin' Up! punches coordinate so well together?!?! I know I do! Look how cute the Elegant Butterfly punch (127526) looks on top of the 1-1/4" Square punch (119865) on top of the Scallop Square punch (119884). You can use this layout for birthday cards, thinking of you cards, thank you cards, any kind of card :) I know I will! Especially since I love butterflies :) hehehe.

And this 'just for you' sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp set (Clear 120453, Wood 116948). And the Word Window punch (119857) on top of the Modern Label punch (119849) is a favorite combo of mine.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Monday :)

Some things...

... have to be believed to be seen.

Hey guys! Here's another card from Niki's Black and White class. I really do like the look of black and white cards. Clean and Simple and oh so elegant, too. And that First Edition Specialty DSP (121878) is so versatile. It goes well with all different kinds of cards.

The tree is from the Lovely As a Tree stamp set (Clear 127793, Wood 115026) and we added some bling to the top. Doesn't it sort of look like a Christmas tree? Pretty cute, huh? The Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246) are a must to have on hand just in case you want to add some bling to a card or project.

And the 'Some things have to be believed to be seen' sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp set (Clear 120453, Wood 116948). We tore one side of the card stock to give it that extra textured look. Then added an Antique Brad (117273), which is one of my favorite embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Happy Anniversary

Hey everyone. Today is an extra special day and an oh so very happy one because 5 years ago today, I married my true love, my soul mate, my husband. I am extremely blessed to have Ben by my side on this lovely journey that people call married life. I know, I know, mushy central! hehehe. Can't help it! I so HEART that guy :) And it is true, time does fly when you're having fun because sometimes I can't believe that 5 years has flown by already! And here's to many, many, many, many more Anniversaries to come :D

And here is the anniversary card that I made for Ben. Of course, I went with our wedding colors and theme. Blue, Ivory, Silver and Butterflies :) Can I just say that my husband is amazing because bless him for putting up with my butterfly obsession since we included them in EVERYTHING! hehehe.

I finally got to use the En Français background stamp (109521) and I actually bought it so that I could use it for this year's anniversary card. It's just so pretty and romantic to me. And the angel's wings and heart is from the Affection Collection stamp set (Clear 127949, Wood 127946) from the Holiday Catalog. I punched out a silver heart with the Small Heart punch (17193) and added a Large Pearl Basic Jewel (125577). Oh and behind the small butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die (114507) is that pretty scallop burst, which is also from the Affection Collection stamp set.

I also used the larger butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and I added a glimmery 5 on top of the butterfly. I used the new Typeset Alphabet Bigz die (127553) and used Silver Glimmer paper (124005) to cut out the number.

The 'Happy Anniversary' sentiment is from the Memorable Moments stamp set (Clear 126682, Wood 126680). I also sponged all over the card because well, I like the look of sponging :) I also added another strip of Midnight Muse behind the Very Vanilla and used the Scallop Edge Border punch (119882) to add a little border.

And of course, I had to add something on the inside of the card, too. Yup, went all out for this guy ;) Glimmer paper, background stamp, big shot action, punches, a large pearl, butterflies and sponging! Oh and did you notice that the angel's wings with the heart was actually cut out with scissors? Yes, I used scissors to cut something out!! Now that's love ;) And you know, to me, Ben is the World's Greatest husband :) Which is why I bought the World’s Greatest stamp (126270) just for this card. The 'HUSBAND' sentiment is from the Family Reunion stamp set (Clear 122712, Wood 122710).

Phew, that was a little novel wasn't it? haha. I guess I had a lot to say for this very special occasion :)

And this is what I have to say to my lovely husband..... I LOVE YOU, happy FIVE YEAR anniversary and THANK YOU for filling my heart and my life with so much happiness XOXOXOXOXO

Have a great day everyone, enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by :)

The 'just for you' sentiment is from one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets - Teeny Tiny wishes (Clear 127802, Wood 115370).
