Hello everyone! Today is a special day because it's my hubby's mom's birthday :) Didn't you know... all those fireworks that you hear or see today... they're all for her :)
I wanted to try a little something different with her card this year. I love DSP because of all the fun and pretty patterns on each piece and I really like the look of this sheet. When I looked at this piece on the card, I was drawn to stamping on it. This is something pretty new to me and I was happy with how it turned out. I used the Gifts of Kindness stamp set (Clear 130444, Wood 130441) for the fun mini background stamp and for the sentiments. I also added some itty bitty flowers because I just couldn't help myself. hehe.
Hey everyone! Here is another card that I made for one of my husband's friends at work. His birthday is actually on July 4th, which is a pretty cool birthday :) I had to jump on this card pretty quick because my hubby wanted to give him his birthday card tonight since they may not see each other at work on his actual birthday.
Last year, I went with the whole red, white and blue theme, but this year, I decided to go with more neutral colors. To add some texture, I embossed each strip with the Houndstooth embossing folder (123134). Then, I sponged each piece before adding them to the card. I also stamped the happy birthday sentiment on a banner.
Even though I didn't go with a 4th of July look and feel, I did go with adding quite a few stars on his birthday card. I wanted to still kind of have the stars and stripes sort of feel to the card. Hopefully he likes it!
Hello! Here is the card that my husband asked me to make for a friend at work for her birthday. We're a little late on her birthday present but hopefully we can get it this weekend.
For her birthday card, I went with some Afternoon Picnic DSP (131390). I really do like this Designer Series Paper. It's one of my new faves :) To punch out a couple of windows on this card, I used the Hexagon punch (130919) and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment inside the window. I then added some butterflies and itty bitty flowers.... a couple more faves of mine.
