Captain America Birthday Banner

Hello! Today, I'd like to share some of the decorations from my little nephew's birthday party. And the Captain America theme with the red, white and blue colors is kinda fitting for today, don't you think? With it being election day and all. Anyhoo, instead of politics, let's talk parties :)

Here is the birthday banner that I made. I love MDS2 and all that it can do! I already had this template for the individual pennants for the banner from a digital kit that I downloaded, and with the new features of MDS2, I was able to change the colors and added my own Captain America spin on them. MDS2 is so much fun! If you don't have it yet, click here to download the FREE 30-day trial version. You should really check it out :)

I originally had each letter in front of a Captain America shield but the letters weren't that legible. So, with some creative direction from my lovely hubby, he had suggested to remove the blue center and the star from the shield and place the star lower on the pennant so that each letter would pop with the red background. Genius, right? And I love that he gets involved with the craftiness every now and then :)

Stay tuned for the goodie bags and the favors that I made for the birthday boy's party.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
