Simple Mother's Day Card

Happy Monday!

Here is another Mother's day card that I made for friends and family. I went with simple on this card. I wanted to showcase the pretty designer paper and some punches.

And what's great about this paper is that one side has the pretty pattern and the other side is a solid color so I didn't have to break out other card stock except for the flowers. And yes, there's more bling :)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Hello! Happy Mother's day to all the moms out there :)

For those mothers who are here and those who are no longer with us, no matter where they may be, they will forever be in the hearts of those who they have touched. Mothers are amazing women and today we celebrate you.

Here is another card that I made for friends and family. Sorry if these cards seem like they are never ending. I promise, there are just a couple more Mother's Day cards that I want to share with you ;)

I used one embossing folder, but featured both the debossed and embossed side of the card stock.  Here's a closer shot. Hopefully you can see the difference.

And of course I added a little bling to the flowers because what gal doesn't like a little bling :)

It's Derby Time!!

Good morning everyone!

Last night I got to spend "Girls Night Out" with the ladies at an event I've never been to before - Derby Night :) I had so much fun! The event was filled with so many girls only vendors, wine, food, shopping, music and dancing. We were even able to browse through some boutiques that were open only to us ladies at this event.

There were so many ladies with amazing hats! They even had prizes for the Best Decorated Derby Hat! Of course, we had to try to get in on that action :) My friend Jennifer made these beautiful hats for us! She's AMAZING! There is nothing she can't do. I mean for real. Check this out. She can bake such yummy goodness, she does super cute hair, she does gorgeous make-up and she is super creative with crafts! Here is the hat she made for us ladies:

Super cute, right?!?! I so want to wear this hat all day today! hehehe. You know I'm bringing my hat to work to show my friends :) Check out the decorations on the hat. And can I just say Jennifer is so genius?!?! She put them on pins so that we can take them off the hat, use them however we like AND we can still wear the black hat without the decorations if we wanted to! BRILLIANT!!

So back to Derby Night for a bit.... After browsing through the boutiques and finishing up our $1 scoop ice cream, we headed back to the tents to check out the girls only vendors again. I got false eye lashes :) And when they were done putting them on me, I guess they were drastic enough that some lady took a picture of me! hehehe. And I didn't stop with the false eye lashes! We soon found our way to another booth where ladies were getting pretty sparkles on their eyes. We couldn't help but oooooh and ahhhhhhh at the pretty glitter so of course, we all jumped in and got our eyes done :) Check out their site here! They do sparkles on nails and on eyes. And they even do sparkle parties where they come to your house and put lashes and glitter on your eyes. Wouldn't that be such a fun way to get ready for a girls night out? ;)

A Card for Mother's Day

Hey everyone! Happy Friday :)

Mother's Day is just around the corner and this year, I made different sets of cards for family and friends. On this set of cards, I used the Labels Collection Framelits, the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and the Framed Tulips & the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folders.

I had fun making these cards because I got to use several big shot items. And like I've said before, I love the big shot :) 

Along with the different big shot products that I used to make these cards, I used the Summer Smooches DSP, the pretty fabric brads and different coordinating card stock to go with the DSP.

More Swaps

Hello everyone!

As promised, here are the other swaps from Nicole's downline meeting. Again, these ladies are super creative and I just love the projects they come up with!

Here is Marita's card. She was inspired by her friends visiting from Hawaii. I love how she used the oval punch to create a plumeria flower and do you see the dew on the flower?  Pretty cool, right?!

Here is Niki's card. There are a few things I have to say about this card... love the blossom punch, love the beautiful wings embosslits and love the versamark technique!

And here is Andrea's swap. This was the other winner. I love that it's a tissue holder! I so need to case this as soon as possible!! I love 3-D projects, and especially ones that I can use :)

Back to Nicole's downline meeting for a bit :) Here are a few of the swap cards that I got to take home. These gals are so creative and it was so hard to pick which one was my favorite.

Here is Catherine's card. I love how she used the stencil and sponged the image:

Here is Juliana's card. I am a huge fan of embossing folders and I love how she used the Stripes embossing folder to create this look:

And here is Charlene's card. This was one of the winners of the swap. I love how she used a brayer to create the sky and landscape layers. And I just love the Lovely as a Tree stamp set!

Happy Birthday to my Cousin Venus!!!!

I totally dropped the ball on sending this card out! I had it all ready to go, too! Bummer :( But I will try and get it in the mail as soon as possible! I will of course be calling her today to wish her a happy birthday, but I feel bad that her card did not get to her in time :(
