Happy Birthday Aba & Ada!!

Today is a special day because we get to celebrate two birthdays! My cousins are twins but of course I just had to make two different cards. Even though they are sisters and TWIN sisters at that, and we know how close some sisters can be, they are still two different people. So, I made one card for Aba and one card for Ada. This card is the one that I made for Aba:

I love the Summer Smooches DSP (125409) and all the bright colors. Here, I used Real Red card stock (102482) and Daffodil Delight card stock (119683). Doesn't it just make the Summer Smooches DSP pop? And I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335)  to add some texture to the card.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Bring on the Cake stamp set (Clear 121958, Wood 121899). That stamp set has been on my wish list for the longest time and I was FINALLY able to get it! I was soooooo excited! And look, there are those flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309). Can you tell it's one of my faves? ;) Oh and those Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246). Gotta love some bling!

And another thing that's cool about the Bring on the Cake stamp set are the stamps with words and phrases that you can add inside the card. For Aba's card, I went with "It's your birthday, Oh, what fun! Blow out your candles one by one."

I sent the cards earlier this week so I hope they got them in time! And I hope she liked her birthday card and I hope she has a wonderful birthday!!!! hmmm... that's a lot of hope in those sentences, huh? hehehehe.

The Secret Of Life Is...

Hi everyone! Here is the third card from Niki's "From My Heart" class. We got to use another one of the sentiment stamps that is a quote from James Taylor. It says....The Secret of Life is Enjoying the Passing of Time. This card was fun to make because of the different layers and different types of materials that we got to use. 

We used the Stripes folder (123128) to add texture to the card and look! There's some Comfort Café fabric (126894), that fabulous Blue 3/8" Denim Jean Ribbon (125053) and some fun Linen Thread (104199).

And to add a little dimension to the stamped sentiment, we stamped "Enjoying" onto colored card stock then cut it out then added dimensionals to pop it up a bit. And you know how big of a fan I am of that little flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), but lookie here, we got to use the scallop punch from that ever so useful punch pack. And we also added a little Pearl Basic Jewel (119247) to the center of the scallop punch.

Thank You From the Bottom of My Heart

Hello everyone! Here is another card from Niki's "From My Heart" Class. This stamp set has various sayings and this card features the "Thank You From the Bottom of My Heart" stamp. What I like about this stamp is that you can color in the heart like I did here. And isn't it nice to match the heart with coordinating card stock? We also got to use the Mini Hearts Embossing Folder from the Adorning Accents Folders set (125601). What's cool about these embossing folders is that you can add texture to card edges rather than the entire card front.

We also added a couple flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) and used the Silver 1/8" Mini Brads (122941) to attach them. And there's some of that Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine (125572) wrapped around the piece with the stamped sentiment.

Click here to see Niki's post and her card. She added some Dazzling Details (124117) to the stamped image to add a little bling to the card. I couldn't find my dazzling details so I didn't get to add it to my card. It's a little bit on the plain side but I think it's still pretty :)

They Say This Too Shall Pass

Hello everyone! Happy Monday :)

This week, I would like to feature the cards that we got to make at Niki's "From My Heart" Class. I know this class was back in June and I can't believe that I'm just now getting to putting these cards together! Remember how I mentioned that it was one of those days when I was not in a crafting mood? Click here to check out my first post of this card.

Now, here is the card that I finally made. I even added an extra butterfly. I'm a big fan of the new Elegant Butterfly punch (127526). I just love that new punch :)

Love is Like a Butterfly

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday :) Today, I want to share a card that I made for my husband's parents. They celebrated their wedding anniversary last week. I wanted to go with something clean and simple but also wanted to feature some Stampin' Up! product that I just LOVE! hehehe. I went with Elegant Eggplant card stock (105126) since purple is my father-in-law's favorite color and used some matching DSP (117154).

And I used the new Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die (127005) which is one of my new favorite dies because of all the different ways that you can use it. For this card, I used it as a window to feature a new embossing folder that will be coming out in our new Holiday catalog! Are you excited!?!? Stay tuned for more news on that :)

 

And of course, I used a lovely Antique Brad (117273) to keep the two butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die (114507) together.

On the inside of the card, I used two different stamps from two different stamp sets. The Love is a butterfly sentiment is from the now retired Butterfly Prints stamp set and the Happy Anniversary sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (Clear 127802, Wood 115370), which is my ever so trusty sentiment stamp set for any project.

Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! Here is a birthday card that I made for one of my friends who celebrated her birthday back in June. I totally dropped the ball on this one and missed Charlene's birthday :( So bad of me! And the worst part was, I remembered her birthday earlier in the month and was on top of it and made her card early! But then I lost that card and I had to make a new one and I couldn't believe that her birthday slipped by me :(

So, here is the second card that I made for her. I used a different fold for this card and wanted to feature some of that lovely Summer Smooches DSP (125409).

 And to keep the card closed, I used Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (122977) to tie a pretty little bow. For the "Birthday Wishes" sentiment, I used the Bring on the Cake stamp set (Clear 121958, Wood 121899).

 

And what's great about the Bring on the Cake stamp set, other than the variety of ways to wish someone special a Happy Birthday, is that there is a matching sentiment for inside the card.

 

So for this card, I used the sentiment pair that says.... Birthday Wishes - Not just a year older, but a year better.

Just for You Tea

Hey everyone! Happy Friday :)

Today is bitter sweet. On one hand, it's Friday :) but on the other hand, it is my dear friend Jamie's last day :( She will be leaving us, but I wish her only the best in all her future adventures. 

Some of us got together to give her a little going away gift basket of goodies for tea time! She recently went on a trip to the UK and fell in love with tea :) Click here for the card that I made for her when she left for Europe.

Here is the card that I made for her and we all got to sign it. And we gave it to her when we gave the gift basket to her. There are several things going on with this card and the first thing is that I wanted to use her favorite colors...

And whenever I see something with that antique look, I think of her so I did a lot of sponging...

And since the gift basket was filled with tea time treats, I added a tea cup to the card...

And I added a pretty little bow as one of the accessories since I know how Jamie loves to accessorize :)

And on the inside, I of course had to add more tea cups!

I hope that she enjoys her gift basket and I hope that she likes her card. Both the gift basket and card were made with lots of love :)

Jamie we will all miss you!
