Bats fly at night

Hi and hello everyone! Here is another Halloween card. I went clean and simple for this one and simply stamped and sponged to get this look. I also used two different stamp sets that I normally would not even think to use together, but for Halloween I think it works perfectly :) I love the look of the trees with the bats flying around in the night sky.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

Happy Birthday card

Hey everyone! Here is another card that I made for one of my husband's friends at work. His birthday is actually on July 4th, which is a pretty cool birthday :)
Last year, I went with the whole red, white and blue theme, but this year, I decided to go with more neutral colors. To add some texture, I embossed each strip with the Houndstooth embossing folder (123134). Then, I sponged each piece before adding them to the card. I also stamped the happy birthday sentiment on a banner.
Even though I didn't go with a 4th of July look and feel, I did go with adding quite a few stars on his birthday card. I wanted to still kind of have the stars and stripes sort of feel to the card. Hopefully he likes it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day :)

A Happy Father's day card

Hello! Here is another card I made. I went with browns and blues for this clean and simple Father's Day card.
It's been awhile since I've used the Argyle embossing folder (127750) and I thought it would make a nice touch on this card. I like how the texture just pops on the Midnight Muse card stock (126843). And we sponged the pieces of the card with one of the new in colors - Baked Brown Sugar ink (131174).
The "Happy Father's Day" sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (Clear 122652, Wood 128547). We also got to play with some of the new Neutrals Designer Buttons (130031). I do miss the designer buttons from last year's catalog, but these are quickly growing on me. Especially for masculine cards which I need to make more of!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend :)

CAS Merry Christmas

Hello! Today I'd like to share another card from my Holiday card making class. This clean and simple card used a strip of pretty SU fabric, which was inspired by one of the cards we got to make in one of Niki's Thursday night classes. Actually, this whole card was case'd from that card :) And of course I'll share that card with you soon. It's super cute.
The Merry Christmas stamp is from the Christmas Lodge stamp set (Clear 123769, Wood 123767). I love how it has that old fashioned christmas feel to it.
And you know, the Deck The Halls Designer Fabric can still be found in the Clearance Rack. So grab some up before they are sold out! You still have time to place an order and get it before the holidays, too. Click here if you'd like to check it out. 99 cents! Can't beat that!
There was also a whole lot of sponging going on! Not only on the edges of the card, but also on the textured portion that was embossed using the Petals-a-Plenty Folder (116824). I love how this technique gives this card an additional vintage look and feel.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend :)

For Meghan

Happy Birthday Meghan!!

Hey guys! Today is my friend Meghan's birthday and for her special day I made her a birthday banner, which I will be hanging up at her desk when I get into the office later this morning. And of course, I'll share it with all of you soon, so come back and visit to check it out :) Here is the card that I made for her.

I had fun making this card especially since I used tons of SU stuff that I love! I used the En Français background stamp (109521) and did a lot of sponging to give this card that kinda sorta antique-y look and feel. I also used some Comfort Café DSP (126898) and some Summer Starfruit card stock (126839) to add a pop of color. The 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' sentiment is from the You’re Amazing stamp set (Clear 126722, Wood 126720). It has been on my wish list for a long time and I just got it so I just had to play with it right away! And what's so great about this stamp set is that it coordinates with the Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003). I love how SU has so many products that coordinate so well with each other!

And of course, I had to add some embellishments so I grabbed those lovely Pearl Basic Jewels (119247) and Large Pearl Basic Jewels (125577). I accented the flowers that I punched out using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309) with some of those pearls. And I also added some Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (122975). I know the ribbon is already ruffled but I wanted to add a bit more ruffle for fun :)

I hope she likes her card and I hope that she enjoys her special day! Hope all your birthday wishes come true Meghan :D

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day

Hello! Here is another CAS Black and White card from Niki's class last week. I really do like how the black, white and gray look together on a card. Add some Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper (126906) and emboss with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821) and you add some texture to the background of the card. You can get both products from the Holiday Catalog.

I have this stamp set and hardly ever use it. I'm glad that we got to use it on this card. Gives me some great ideas on how to use it especially since it's such a pretty stamp set. The Lovely As a Tree stamp set (Clear 127793, Wood 115026) has several types of trees that you can use on various cards and projects.

Oh and we also sponged all around the card. I really do like the look it creates and it's fun to do, too. And the 'Happy Father's Day' sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (Clear 127802, Wood 115370). This is a must have stamp set so go get yours now or add it to your wish list :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

HEARTFELT

Hey everyone. Here is another card that we got to make in Niki's class last week. Check out Niki's card here. This card was also inspired by the Stampin' Up! Legacy Room. I love the look of this card! I love the antique feel and that background stamp. I think I need to bump up the En Français background stamp (109521) a little higher on my wish list ;)

And that HEARTFELT stamp is so lovely, isn't it? It's from the new Layered Labels stamp set (Clear 127072, Wood 127070). Another great thing about that stamp set is that it also coordinates with the new Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003), Large Oval punch (119855) and 1" Circle punch (119868). I just love how SU has stamp sets that coordinate with Big Shot products and punches. Amazes me all the time :)

And of course, I love the butterflies on this card. But then again, I just love butterflies :) We used the new Elegant Butterfly punch (127526) and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (114507). And to give it that extra little something, we add some Dazzling Details (124117) on the edges of the bigger butterfly. We also got to use a Large Pearl Basic Jewel (125577). Those are so much fun!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by :)

Just for You Tea

Hey everyone! Happy Friday :)

Today is bitter sweet. On one hand, it's Friday :) but on the other hand, it is my dear friend Jamie's last day :( She will be leaving us, but I wish her only the best in all her future adventures.

Some of us got together to give her a little going away gift basket of goodies for tea time! She recently went on a trip to the UK and fell in love with tea :) Click here for the card that I made for her when she left for Europe.

Here is the card that I made for her and we all got to sign it. And we gave it to her when we gave the gift basket to her. There are several things going on with this card and the first thing is that I wanted to use her favorite colors...

And whenever I see something with that antique look, I think of her so I did a lot of sponging...

And since the gift basket was filled with tea time treats, I added a tea cup to the card...

And I added a pretty little bow as one of the accessories since I know how Jamie loves to accessorize :)

And on the inside, I of course had to add more tea cups!

I hope that she enjoys her gift basket and I hope that she likes her card. Both the gift basket and card were made with lots of love :)

Jamie we will all miss you!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and enjoy your Friday!
