Happy Birthday card and banner

Hello everyone! Here is a birthday card and birthday banner for you guys today. I went with pinks and browns for the birthday girl because those are the colors that remind us of the birthday girl. And polkadots are always fun :)
I added some butterflies and I ran the front butterfly through the Perfect Polkadots embossing folder to go with the polkadots on the paper.
Then I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on a banner and placed it on the front of the card.
And here is her birthday banner all set up to block the doorway into her cube :)
I used the same color scheme and paper for her banner so that it would match her birthday card.
And yes, I had to add butterflies to the banner, too ;)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Remembering Your Birthday card

Happy Friday everyone! Here is a birthday card that I made recently for a friend. It was so sweet of her to think of me when she needed a birthday card. She was at the store and was about to buy one when she decided to ask me if I could make a card for her.

I was excited to make this card because I knew that I wanted to use the new Remembering Your Birthday stamp set (Clear 131350, Wood 131347). What's so fun about this stamp set is that there are so many ways to wish someone Happy Birthday and there are sentiments for the front of the card as well as the inside of the card :)
And it's been awhile since I've used these framelits so I decided to use them, too. The Labels Collection Framelits Dies (125598) are so fun to use and there are 6 different sizes that you can play with for so many different types of projects.

Along with the card, I made a customized envelope to match. How fun is that!?!?! I am loving the new Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board (133774)!! And I know you will, too! But if you want to get one, order yours soon because they are flying off the shelves! You can customize envelopes in up to 66 different sizes. Pretty cool :)

Happy Birthday card and banner

Hello everyone! My friend celebrated her birthday not too long ago and this is the card that I made for her. This card was fun to make with the different sizes and colors and then trying to put it all together like a puzzle.

And here is her matching banner. For the background of each banner piece, I printed out the matching pattern instead of individually cutting each piece like I did with the card.

Thanks everyone for stopping by. Enjoy your day :)

Birthday banner

Hi! Here is a birthday banner for you guys today. This banner was made for a friend's birthday. It was a week or so late, but that's OK! I like extending birthday celebrations :) And it's always fun to see people's reactions when they walk into the office and see that there's something waiting for them at their cube :D

Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! Today, I'd like to share a birthday card for a friend at work. She celebrated her birthday a couple of weekends ago but the celebration is never ending :) The ladies took her out to lunch and it was so yummy! I'm a real believer in celebrating your birth month if you can :) hehehe.
I am a HUGE fan of paper and I just love how this paper sparkles! And the colors and pattern is just so pretty. Sometimes, all you need is some pretty paper for a project.
I also added these pretty flowers and layered them to give the card some dimension. And my hubby was so sweet to help me with picking out the button for the flower :)
Along with the card, I of course had to make a birthday banner! I love banners, they are so fun! Stay tuned for pics of the banner in action along with some mini decorations that we put up in her cube.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

1st Birthday

Hello! Today I'd like to share a birthday card for a little guy who turned the big O-N-E! His birthday party was AMAZING! And with the Kung Fu Panda theme, I knew I wanted to tie in the card somehow. I decided to go with a cute little panda holding a banner sending him birthday wishes.
I love, love, love punch art and I knew I had to do something with punches. I had a vision in my head and I was so crossing my fingers that it would turn out OK. Before I put the little guy together, I had to ask my hubby what animal it looked like... hehe. And thank goodness he said "panda"!
I used oval punches and circle punches to create this little guy. There was some trial and error but I finally finished the card. Clean and simple and went with the theme. Click here to check out the AMAZING decorations that the birthday boy's mommy and daddy created.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day :)

Happy Birthday card

Hey everyone! Here is another card that I made for one of my husband's friends at work. His birthday is actually on July 4th, which is a pretty cool birthday :)
Last year, I went with the whole red, white and blue theme, but this year, I decided to go with more neutral colors. To add some texture, I embossed each strip with the Houndstooth embossing folder (123134). Then, I sponged each piece before adding them to the card. I also stamped the happy birthday sentiment on a banner.
Even though I didn't go with a 4th of July look and feel, I did go with adding quite a few stars on his birthday card. I wanted to still kind of have the stars and stripes sort of feel to the card. Hopefully he likes it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day :)

Happy Birthday card

Hello! Here is the card that my husband asked me to make for a friend at work for her birthday.

For her birthday card, I went with some Afternoon Picnic DSP (131390). I really do like this Designer Series Paper. It's one of my new faves :) To punch out a couple of windows on this card, I used the Hexagon punch (130919) and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment inside the window. I then added some butterflies and itty bitty flowers.... a couple more faves of mine.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

happy birthday

Hello! Here is a birthday card I made. I just LOVE banners and when I saw this hostess set, I knew that I just HAD to get it! So cute!!!!
And of course, with these banners in mind, I wanted to try something a little different with the card. We adhered the happy birthday banners onto small Popsicle sticks.
And to add some texture to the card we used the Chevron embossing folder. I love how the texture just pops on the card stock!

Happy Birthday to you!

Hello! Here is a clean and simple birthday card for you guys today.
I got to play with the big shot, which is ALWAYS fun! I used to different embossing folders to add different textures to the card. Gotta love the Stripes embossing folder and the Polkadots embossing folder. I used them A LOT!
And the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!" sentiment was fun to play with too because not only did I get to stamp this cute shape, but we got to use a matching punch! Woohoo! Gotta love coordinating punches!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day :)

Flower Bday Banner

Hello everyone! Happy Friday :) Here is the birthday banner that I made for my friend's birthday.
I wanted to try something a little different with this banner. This time, I went with a flower theme. I used the Big Shot to cut out all the flower shapes, then cut out each letter and punched out the circles for the center of each flower.
Here is another close up of the each flower with a single letter on each. I went with Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie. And I used Whisper White to make the letters pop on each flower.
Oh and look.... surprise, surprise... a butterfly! Hey, I needed something to add to the spacer between Happy and Bday, so why not a butterfly?
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day :)

Birthday Favors

Hey everyone! I have more favors for you guys today. I made some keychains as Thank You favors.
I used some punches and coordinating stamp sets to create the tags that I added to each key chain.
I also found this jewelry tree to display all the key chains on.
Here is the table we had in the backyard with all the favors displayed.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

18th birthday card

Hello! My little cousin turned 18 a few weeks ago and we got to celebrate with her over the weekend. I still can't believe that she's a young lady now! My how time flies! At the party, we played a video for her with all these lovely pictures of her growing up and let me tell you... there was not one dry eye in the room! Ok, maybe just amongst the ladies... but the gents were pretty moved too even though there weren't any tears for them ;)
I had so much fun making this card for her. I went clean and simple but used my favorite tool - the Big Shot - to add some texture, cut out this shape, cut out the "18" and the pretty butterfly.
And you gotta love the SU silver glimmer paper! Adds so much lovely bling-bling to a card or any project :)
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!
