In Color Dahlias

Hello! Here is a gift that my upline Nicole surprised me with when they got back from Convention. Have I mentioned that I so want to go to Convention next year? Especially since it will the 25th anniversary for Stampin' Up! How cool would that be?!?!

These were her roommate gifts. How sweet is that? All the ladies on our team who went made special gifts for each other. Check out Nicole's post about her roommate gifts here. This project so makes me want to bust out my sewing machine.

And look what was inside the cute little draw string bag! A super cute ring and hair pin. I was so excited to find this little surprise in my craft bag :D Nicole is such an awesome upline! 

How adorable are the In Color Dahlias (127556)? And even so much cuter on these 3D projects, right?! The Midnight Muse dahlias are one of my faves and I totally wore my hair pin to work the next day. hehe.

Baby Welcome to the World!

Hello! Here is the last card that the ladies got to make in last month's Embellishments class. I hope they had as much fun making all of the cards as I did when I made them. I love embellishments and aren't they so much fun when they coordinate with the stamp set?

For this card we used the Button Buddies stamp set (Clear 122737, Wood 122735). We also got to use the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (117335) and the Scallop Edge Border punch (119882).

For the sentiment, we used 'baby welcome to the world!', which is from the A Word for You stamp set (Clear 120528, Wood 117032). This stamp set also has another sentiment that goes well with the Button Buddies stamp set. Check out a card that I made here. These stamps are actually what sold me on these sets. So darn cute!!!!

And just look how cute those Subtles Designer Buttons (119745) are with the baby rattle stamp from the Button Buddies stamp set. We went with colors from the Subtles color family and since we used various button colors, wouldn't this be cute for a baby girl or baby boy? Or you could just change up the colors to pink or blue, too :)

Get Well Soon

Happy Sunday everyone! And here is yet another card that we got to make during last month's class. I hardly get to make these types of cards and thought it would be fun to make for this class. We got to use one of my favorite big shot products - the Framed Tulips Folder embossing folder (121809). I like how it adds a cute border around the card.

The flowers in a vase image is from the Button Buddies stamp set (Clear 122737, Wood 122735). I'm telling you, this set is so much fun because of all the buttons you can use. For this card, we used the flower buttons from the Subtles Designer Buttons (119745). And we used the Marina Mist Stampin' Write Marker (119679) and the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker (100079) to ink up the image. How cute, right?

And I decided to add a window for the flowers using the 2-1/2" Circle punch (120906). Below the window, we stamped the 'get well soon' sentiment which is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (Clear 122652, Wood 122650). This is another stamp set that is a must have and should be added to your wish list because of all the different sentiments. You can make a card for any occasion.

Hello! Today I'd like to share another card that the ladies got to make during last month's class. This card was fun to make and it was so easy too! This time, we used the Button Buddies stamp set (Clear 122737, Wood 122735). I so had to get it when my upline Nicole gave me a card that featured this stamp set at my first worskshop :)

I love that you can use buttons to go with the stamp set. Guess that's why they call it button buddies. hehe. For this card, we used the Subtles Designer Buttons (119745). And what's so cool about this flower is that along with matching embellishments, there's also a matching punch! We used the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch (119854) instead of scissors. How cool is that!?!?

And we also got to use the new Chevron embossing folder (127749). I'm telling you, it's one of my favorite new big shot items! The 'thank you' sentiment is from the new Embellished Events stamp set (Clear 126497, Wood 126495).

Best Wishes

Hi! Today we are saying "Best Wishes" to a friend who is leaving our department. Luckily she is only moving to another department within the company. So, she'll still be around for lunches, afternoon snacks, and our favorite lunch time activity.... SHOPPING :)

Here is the card that I made for her for all of us to sign and send her well wishes for her new adventure. I saw this paper and new I just had to use it :) Love the butterflies and love the color combo - Brown, Blue, White and Silver. Sometimes all you need is pretty paper to make a card, use a few punches and voilà :)

The 'best wishes' sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (Clear 122497, Wood 122495). I like this stamp set because the sentiments are paired with something that you can add inside the card. But for this card, I wanted to just use this sentiment and not it's matching pair. I also added some flower embellishments from the Subtles Designer Buttons pack (119745).

Today will be a fun day filled with yummy food and delicious dessert :D

Thinking of You

Hi! Here is another card that the ladies got to make during last month's class. As soon as I saw those In Color Dahlias (127556), I knew I just HAD to get them and look how cute they are on a card :)

For the flower stamp image, we used the new Embellished Events stamp set (Clear 126497, Wood 126495). We used Gumball Green (126861) for the ink color and the ladies got to choose which color dahlia's they wanted to add to the card. 

There is also some Big Shot fun going on with this card, too. On the Raspberry Ripple card stock (126842), I used the Fancy Fan embossing folder (127751). And to frame the lovely dahlias, I used the frame folder from the Designer Frames Folders set (123130) on the Gumball Green card stock (126840). 

Then we added the Thinking of You sentiment in Midnight Muse (126860), which is also from the Embellished Events stamp set, below the dahlias and added some Whisper White Baker's Twine (124262).

Hello! Here is the make and take from Niki's Convention recap and downline meeting. I was so glad that we got to make this card because I bought the stamp set and had no idea what to do with it. I knew that I wanted the Affection Collection stamp set (Clear 127949, Wood 127946) and now I have a project to case :)

This card was fun to make because it used almost all of the stamps in this set using different ink colors that coordinate with each other.  We used More Mustard (126964), Daffodil Delight (126944), Early Espresso (126974), Midnight Muse (126860) and Primrose Petals (126858).

We also added a little dimension by popping up the heart. All we did was stamp the heart again and punch it out with the Small Heart punch (117193). Fun and easy, right?

I made several cards and some ladies will be getting this card in the mail along with the new Holiday Catalog!
