Another Birthday card for Marita

Good morning everyone!

Here is another card that I made for Marita's birthday. This card was signed by her buddies at work.

I wanted to use the Large Pearl Jewels that you can find in the Occasions Mini catalog and I thought... hey! what about using them on a butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die? And of course, I just HAD to use the now retired Sale-a-bration 2012 Everyday Enchantment DSP. I added a little hemp twine and this is what I came up with.

Here is a list of the supplies that I used to make her card:
Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650)
Pool Party Card Stock (122924)
Everyday Enchantment DSP (retired SAB - 126154)
Natural Hemp Twine (100982)
Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (114507)
Large Pearl Basic Jewels (125577)

Designer Rosette Card

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARITA!!!!

Today is a special day because it's my friend Marita's birthday! I was pretty stressed out trying to figure out what kind of card to make for her. Because how do you make a card for someone who is super creative and talented? I was trying to figure that one out for quite some time and I finally came up with this card. I hope that she likes it!

I was inspired by a card that I made in one of Niki's classes. Click here to see her card. I really like how the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die is used to cut out the shape of the card. To add a little something different, I wanted to add a rosette. This is the first time I used the Designer Rosette Bigz XL die and who better to try it out for? A fellow fan of the big shot of course :) Here are some close up shots.

I had fun making Marita's birthday card. I did a little sponging, got to play with the big shot, used some hemp twine and got to use a brad. Embellishments are fun aren't they? And I also got to use one of my favorite designer series papers - the retired Sale-a-bration 2012 exclusive Everyday Enchantment.

Here is what I used to make her card:
Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650)
Pool Party Card Stock (122924)
Peach Parfait Card Stock (119794)
Everyday Enchantment DSP (retired SAB - 126154)
Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad (115657)
Coral Calypso Classic Stampin' Pad (122939)
Stamping Sponges (101610)
Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (114507)
Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die (115950)
Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die (125594)
Everyday Enchantment Designer Brads (retired SAB - 127279)
Creative Elements Stamp Set (Clear 122647, Wood 122645)

Tutu Birthday Card

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKAELA!

Today, a special girl turns 5 :) Here are pictures of the card that I made for her. I've seen cards with these little tutus and I wanted to try it out. This is what I came up with.

I also stamped the inside of the card

And as promised, here are pictures from her birthday party. Aren't the decorations so cute?!?! Love the birthday banner, the favors, the paper flower center pieces, and the pennant banner on the cake. Love them all! And you just gotta love the Princess Cake. Isn't it so pretty? I also got some shots of the cake pop toppers on the cake pops. And I just love the pink, white and black colors together. So super cute!

The kids had so much fun at Mikaela's birthday party! Barbie came to visit, played dress up with the kids and there was a fashion show! And after the fashion show, a story from Barbie and a few games of hide-n-seek, there was an awesome magic show! Do you believe in Magic? Everyone clap! hehe. So much fun!

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make her card:
Wisteria Wonder Card Stock (122922)
Whisper White Card Stock (100730)
Pretty in Pink Card Stock (100459)
Silver Glimmer Paper (124005)
Sweet Shop Specialty DSP (125408)
Wisteria Wonder Classic Stampin' Pad (122936)
Blushing Bride 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (125570)
Subtles Designer Buttons (119745)
Basic Pearls Jewels (119247)
Alphabet Simple Numbers Bigz Dies (115968 )

Cake Pop Toppers for Mikaela

Hello!

Later today, my hubby and I get to go to a birthday party! Marita's daughter Mikaela is celebrating her 5th birthday. And the birthday girl has requested everyone to Think Pink this year! Now, how to break it to my husband that we have to wear something pink to the party. Hmm, wish me luck! hehe. Oh! and did I mention that Barbie will be there? Stay tuned for more pictures of the party. I'm sure they will be amazing because my friend Marita is so talented and creative! I can't wait to see how she decked out Mikaela's party :)

I did offer to help out and here are the cake pop toppers that I made for the birthday girl. And they go with the whole Barbie theme.

Don't you just love the silhouette of Barbie? I know I do, but I'm a big fan of silhouetted pictures. And here is a close up of the cake pop topper.

They were so fun and easy to make. I love punches and I went punch happy when making these. I printed out the image that Marita gave me, punched it out, then punched out a pink piece of paper, then punched out the black, put them all together, then punched a couple of holes to stick the cake pop stick through and viola! You have cake pop toppers! I hope Marita and Mikaela like them :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday!

Guest stamper - Nicole

Good morning everyone! HAPPY FRIDAY :D

Today, I would like to share with you the creative talent of my upline Nicole. She is so awesome! There are so many things that I learn from her and she's someone that I get so much inspiration from. As creative as she is with cards, her first love is jewelry. And she makes such amazing jewelry! This is what she made for her roommies at Leadsership. I so hope that I can go to Leadership next year! Sounds like so much fun :)

I also really want to learn how to make something like this. Isn't it so pretty? I love it :) She even added a small piece of DSP and a single pearl jewel in the frame. And here is the lovely packaging that she made! And look at the owl, those eyes are earrings! She used the Twitterpated Designer Buttons and pearl jewels. Isn't she so creative?!?!
