Scentsational Ginger Bread

Hey everyone! Here is a card that we got to make in Niki's 'Christmas in August' class. We got to play with new product from the Holiday Catalog. So much fun! I love new SU product :) This card featured the Ginger Bread man from the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies (127814) and from the Scentsational Season stamp set (Clear 121190, Wood 121026). Here is my card. I kinda sorta forgot to emboss the whisper white cardstock. Ooops! It's way cuter with the additional texture. Check out Niki's card here.

Just look how cute those little ginger bread guys are!! We stamped one image and then the other ginger bread was cut out with the framelit. What's cool about the stamp set and the framelits dies is that as well as buying them individually, you can also buy them as a set - the Scentsational Season Bundle (Clear 129946, Wood 129945). If you guys are like me and love getting product that coordinate, then the bundle is the best way to go!

We also got to embellish the card with a new button. The Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons were a must buy for me when I saw them in the 2012-2013 SU catalog. I've had them for awhile and just liked looking at them but had no idea what to do with them... until now! hehe.

Guest Stamper - Chan

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!

Today I'd like to share a card that my husband and I got in the mail over the weekend from one of my stampin pals, Chan. She is so sweet to think of us. I know how hard it is to make these types of cards, but it is such a comfort to receive. My husband and his family lost someone in their family and he was so grateful when I showed him the card. Here is the card that she made for us.

The sentiment 'You're in my thoughts, you're in my heart' is from the Word Play stamp set (Clear 120651, Wood 120308), which is a must have because of all the different sentiments that you can use for all kinds of ocassions.

MDS - Go Giants!

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday :)

Yesterday we got to celebrate my friend Jamie's birthday at a San Francisco Giants baseball game. After a crazy morning of traffic, the hubs and I finally made it into the ball park. The AT&T ball park is a pretty cool place to watch a baseball game :) Even though it was super hot, there was a nice breeze and I was able to get some good photos. And as I was scrolling through my pictures, I thought... MDS2!!!! hehehe. So, here are a couple quick MDS pages.

For Jamie

Happy Birthday Jamie!!

Hi everyone! Today, we get to hang out with some friends to celebrate a very special day. Today is Jamie's birthday! And here is the card that we are giving her today. I used the new In Colors :) There's Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit. I like how the new in colors are bright and fun! And the names are so much fun, too!

The 'Friend' sentiment is from the Affection Collection stamp set (Clear 127949, Wood 127946). I decided to use one of the framelits from the Apothecary Accents Framelits to cut out the sentiment. And I added some Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126877).

And on the inside of the card, the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set (Clear 122892, Wood 122890), which is one of my favorites right now :)

I also had fun making this card because I got to use the new Lacy Brocade Embossing folder (127819), which can be found in the new Holiday Catalog. Click here to check out the new catalog. And those fun swirlies in the background of the card is from the new Everything Eleanor stamp set (Clear 124164, Wood 124162). I've been wanting to use this stamp set on a card for awhile and thought that Jamie's card would be perfect! I hope she likes it :)

Holiday Framelits

Hi everyone! Last night I got to hang out with my stampin gals :) Niki's class this week was called Christmas in August. We got to play with new product from the Holiday Catalog. Click here to check out the PDF of the new holiday catalog.

This card features the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies (127814), the Scentsational Season stamp set (Clear 121190, Wood 121026) and the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper (126908).

I like how this is a tri-fold card and how clever is that framelit window and the matching stamped image on the inside? And can you imagine the possiblities with all the other framelits and matching stamp sets? Or even using punches to create windows?

We also got to stamp up the inside of the card with a stamped message and another stamped image from the Scentsational Season stamp set.

And look how cute that little ginger bread man is?!?! Gotta love it :)

I had so much fun before with MDS and now with MDS2 I can't stop the fun! hehe. On this scrapbook page, I was able to change the colors of the stamped images like before but now! I was able to crop them! How awesome is that?!?!?!

Fabric Flowers

Hello everyone! So, my sister-in-law is having a baby and we are throwing a baby shower soon. I have offered to help with invitations, decorations and favors... of course ;) I hope they don't mind that I totally just volunteered! hehehe. I have been wondering what kind of favors to make especially since I made clay flowers for her first baby shower. Stay tuned, I'll be sharing those with you later.

I was thinking of making fabric flower hair clips. My friend Marita showed me how to make them and her daughter wears them. They are so adorable! I've been waiting for an occasion to make some. Here was my first attempt awhile back. hehe.

Wouldn't this flower look cute using either the Twitterpated Fabric (125412) or the new Essentials Designer Fabric (126892)? I can already see all the pretty colors! And for the center of the flowers, how about some Subtles Designer Buttons (119745)?

I'll have to ask Marita how to make these flowers again. And then I'll make a few and show you what I come up with. At least that's the plan! hehehe. Let's see if I change my mind ;)
