Happy Birthday Mahal!

Good morning! HAPPY MONDAY!

Today is a very special day to me because it is my husband's birthday :D It was a miracle the day he came into this world and it was a miracle when he came into my life. I have truly been blessed to be married to a wonderful, caring, patient and understanding husband. He makes me laugh every day and he still makes my heart skip a beat :)

It took me awhile to try and figure out what kind of card to make him. I finally came up with this card with the help of MDS and some silver embossing powder :) Ok, total geek alert, but I thought this card would be a great way to remember his birthday weekend.

Yes, we did see The Avengers movie on opening day, then again on Saturday, took a break on Sunday (even though we kept checking movie times in our area), the plan was to watch it again today with his brother and we are watching it with cousins next Saturday :) And I'm sure this will not be the end of our Avengers movie watching adventures because Ben still needs to watch it with my brother ;) I know, I know, we have totally geeked out with this movie. But it is oh SOOOOO worth it! Ben has been waiting for this movie for YEARS!!!! And it's FINALLY here and we just can't get enough!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNNIE!
I hope all your birthday wishes come true :)

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your Monday!

Tea Time Make & Takes

Good morning and Happy Sunday!

There was so much crafting fun going on at Nicole's downline meeting that I still have some things to share with you :) Today, I want to show you one of the make and takes that Nicole had for us. I was excited to make this card because of the two techniques that it features. One of the techniques is the versamark technique which adds a slight shadow to the stamped image. And the second technique adds glimmer to a stamped image. I love the different looks you get with each one! Here's the card:

Not only were we able to use one of my favorite new punches, the Blossom Punch, we also used the matching stamp set - Mixed Bunch. This has been one of my favorite punch/stamp combos lately :) Check out how glimmery the flowers turned out:

Isn't this card so pretty? Click here to check out this card on Nicole and Andrea's blog. Nicole had a crafting night where her friends were able to try out these new techniques, too :) And if YOU would like to learn how to make this card, email me and we can set up a date for your workshop!

Stay tuned for the second make and take that we got to make. It's pretty cool! :)

Downline Meeting Gifts

Good morning everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend :)

Today, I would like to share some handmade gifts that I made for my amazing team. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such a creative, talented, inspirational and supportive group of ladies and I wanted to give them a little something to tell them how awesome they are!

Of course, I had to make little thank you note cards. These were fun to make. I made them 3x3 and used one of my favorite punches... the Blossom punch :) And I just love the Mixed Bunch Stamp set!

I also gave them these glass containers. To SU them up a bit, I added some Designer Buttons to the glass. Fun, right?! And you can use them for whatever you like. Fill them with candy, store little trinkets or use them to hold pens, markers and scissors. I use them on my desk while I craft. It's so easy to just reach over and grab a pen, a marker, a ruler, a bone folder or a pair of scissors.

I also gave them a shadowbox. And of course, there is that darn punch that I love so much! And those fabric brads. I heart those, too. I also love displaying Stampin' Up! designer series paper in frames because the patterns and colors are just so pretty :) I also wanted to leave some space in the shadowbox so that they could add a picture if they wanted to when they got home.

I hope the amazing women of my team enjoyed their gifts :) Again, I am so lucky to be on this team! If you would like to join our team, email me and I can answer any questions you would like to ask me. AND!! It's a PERFECT time to join because not only do you get to customize your New Demonstrator Starter Kit, but it is ONLY $99!! What?!?! Yes, really! Happy Birthday Barbara

Good morning everyone!

Today, I would like to share one of my new obsessions with you .... making jewelry! I am so new to it but I am loving everything about it already! Nicole, my awesome upline is super talented and has held a couple of jewelry making classes. In the first class, we learned how to make earrings! I was so excited about making earrings that I went to the store right away, bought some beads and ended up making over 40 pairs of earrings in one night!! Just a teeny tiny itty bitty little obsessed ;) You, think? hehe.

In our second class, Nicole taught us wire wrapping on a bracelet. She is such a great teacher! She said we would be yelling and saying all these different types of not so nice words, but that so did not happen. hehe. We were all so into concentrating on our wire wrapping and before we knew it, we each had a bracelet to take home! Again, I had to run to the store to buy more beads! So, my sister-in-law's mother's birthday was the other day and I just HAD to make her this bracelet. I hope she likes it!

These pictures don't really show the true color of the beads. I guess it's the lighting, but they are a pretty purple color, which I thought would look pretty on Barbara :) And here is the card that was sent along with her birthday present:

I had fun making her card because I was able to use an embossing folder that I haven't used in awhile! And I also got to use some of that pretty 1/2" seam binding ribbon :)

Anniversary Card

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM & DAD!!!!

Today is my parents' wedding anniversary :) They are such an inspiration and we are so blessed to have them in our lives. Here is the anniversary card that we sent out the other day. I hope they get it on time! I went with pink because that is my mom's favorite color :) And of course, I added butterflies because that's my favorite hehe.

I made the card a little bigger, too. It's a good thing it was a 5x7 card since I did write a mushy novel on the inside telling them how much we love them and appreciate everything that they do for all of us :)
