For Amy & Joe

Hello everyone! Happy last day of 2012!!!! Can you believe it? Wow how time flies! Speaking of time flying by, my husband and I received a Save the Date card awhile back and I've been meaning to make a card to send out to the happy couple. Here is a card that I made for my husband's childhood buddy and his lovely fiance.
I used one of my favorite designer series paper - Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (126154). I love all the patterns and all the colors. And I must confess, it has been really hard for me to let go and use it on projects. But it's getting a little easier now that I can get more from the Clearance Rack :) No, I don't have a problem ;) hehehe.
I also just got the Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies (129021) and wanted to use one of the frames on this card as the background for the butterflies that I cut out using Beautiful Butterflies Stampin' Up! Bigz Die (114507). I embossed the larger butterfly with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127819) and the smaller butterfly with the hearts folder from the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders pack (125601). And to keep the butterflies together, I used one of the Antique Brads (117273).
The "congratulations on finding each other" sentiment is from the A Word For You stamp set (Clear 120528, Wood 117032). I must admit, after reading the stories that they wrote about each other on their wedding website, I did cry a bit because it is so sweet how they found each other! Such a lovely story :) And I knew that I wanted to use this sentiment just for them because we are so happy that they did find each other.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! Enjoy the last day of 2012. Take some time to reflect on all the good things and lessons learned and here's to a wonderful year in 2013!!!! :D

Calendar for 2013

Hello!! Here is a little calendar that I made for my parents and for my sister-in-law's parents. A little something to keep on a desk somewhere with tons of pictures of their adorable little grandson to look at throughout the year :)
Gotta love MDS2!! I found these calendar kits at Office Max and it was so easy to make and assemble. Just create with MDS2 using some calendar and photo templates, print using a home printer and viola! A new 2013 calendar :) Here are some examples of the calendar pages:

These were so fun to make, now I'm thinking I need to make one for my desk at work :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Christmas Decor

Hi and Happy Saturday :) I know that Christmas has come and gone, but before all the decorations get put away, I wanted to share the festive feel that we had at work. Here are some pictures of our little Christmas decorations that we had to fill our work days with Holiday spirit.
I was so excited when I saw this Elf Hello Kitty and I knew I had to bring her to work! And she even lights up! I also brought a couple of wreaths that I made using some SU fabric that I got from the Clearance Rack. Click here to do some clearance rack shopping. There are some items up to 80% off!
And this tray was set out with some Holiday goodies but knowing the folks in my department, they sure don't last long! hehehe.
And here is our cute little Christmas tree. I love how it lights up and the tiny ornaments are adorable! I even made some gift boxes to go under the Christmas tree. And we spread out some pine cones to add some Holiday wintery forest feel.

And look! No one found coal in their stockings :) Guess we were all good this year! ;)
And how adorable is this gingerbread man?!?! But why did I think of grabbing a scallop punch so that we could punch his little foot to make it look like someone took a bite? Kinda like one of the cards from our Holiday Soiree stamp camp! Click here to check it out.

Now look at this cute wreath covered with candy! I must confess, I was the one who took most of the Werther's Original Caramel candy. hehehe. So yummy! My friend Jennifer made this wreath for all of us to enjoy and check out her AMAZING Minnie Mouse wreath here. It's so dang adorable!!!! She is so talented :)

Okie dokie, thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!

Merry Christmas

Hello, here is another Christmas card that I made this year. I used a similar layout that I used for another Christmas card that I made for my friend and manager Catherine. Click here to check it out.
I had some extra DSP from the Holiday Soiree card that I demo'd at Stamp Camp so I decided to use some from the Festival Of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (126904). Click here to check out the stamp camp card.
I also used some Champagne Glimmer Paper (127885). And some Cherry Cobbler 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon (127841). I love this stuff and have to really learn to not hoard it all! hahaha.
Since there are so many different patterns in the DSP paper stack, I used a different one for each card. All of the patterns are so cute!
I even stamped a nice little Christmas message on the inside of the card. It's from a retired SU stamp set, but I still like the message and wanted to use it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Snow Flurry Christmas

Hi! Here are a couple of cards that I made for a couple of special little girls to go with the little gifts that I got them for Christmas. Both cards have the same layout, but I used different DSP for each card. The DSP is from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (126901). The patterns and color combos are so pretty :)

And that Champagne Glimmer Paper (127885) is so pretty and I knew I wanted to use it for the snowflakes. To cut out the snowflakes, I used the Snow Flurry Bigz Die (127813). I had a lot of fun with this die and used it on another card that I will be sharing with you guys soon. So, stay tuned for that :)

And here are the lovely Hello Kitty dolls. I am a huge Hello Kitty fan and I love sharing with other Hello Kitty fans :) Isn't she so pretty?!?! hehe

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa was nice to you this year ;)

Merry Christmas card for Catherine

Hello! Here is the Christmas card that I made for Catherine. My team at work wanted to give her a card to go along with her gifts. She has been such an amazing manager and we wanted to give her a little something to thank her for all the hard work that she has done for our team.
I wish I had a better picture but I totally dropped the ball and forgot to take a picture when I was done with the card. Anyhoo, back to the card. So, I did want to use some of that Cherry Cobbler 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon (127841) that I've been hoarding since I bought it when the Holiday catalog launched! hehehe. And check out the Early Espresso Core'dinations Colorcore Card Stock (127848). Gotta love how it looks when you emboss it then use the Stampin’ Sanding Block (129367).

Thanks for stopping by and have a very Merry Christmas Eve!!!!

Cookie Decorating

Hi! Today I'd like to share some craftiness from my nephew :) I was able to go to his Holiday party at his school and I am so glad that I went. This little guy is such a character and it was so much fun seeing him with his friends from school. After taking turns visiting with Santa, the kiddies got to decorate some cookies and an ice cream cone Christmas tree. Here is what my nephew made, with some help from his mommy of course :)
Pretty neat idea to take an ice cream cone, turn it upside down and decorate it like a Christmas tree, right?!?!
And  it was so hard to resist taking this cookie after it was decorated! Doesn't it look so yummy? hehehe.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone! Here is the Christmas card that I made to give to some friends and family this year. My husband had a potluck at work the other day and he gave this card to them. And next week, we will be handing these out to my side of the family at our family Christmas party.
This year, I decided to go a little non-traditional with the colors. Instead of red or green or gold, I went with black, burgundy and ivory. But I did use the snowburst embossing folder to add a little touch of the winter season :) The "MERRY CHRISTMAS" sentiment is from the Christmas Lodge stamp set (Clear 123769, Wood 123767).
I even added a little holiday sentiment on the inside of the card. The "Sending Wishes of HAPPY HOLIDAYS to You and Yours" is also from the Christmas Lodge stamp set. I've actually gotten a lot of use out of that stamp set this year. The Christmas tree in that stamp set is another fun one to play with!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by :)

Greetings of the SEASON

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to share the card and goodie bag that I made for my folks at work. I was inspired by the card that my sister-in-law and I made for Josh's teachers this year. I had to lay out the cards like this because I added a little extra something to each card.

I'm not sure if you can see it because these pictures didn't quite capture the blingness, but I added some Dazzling Details (124117). I used a retired SU stamp set that required some two-step stamping and then followed the swirliness of the Christmas tree with Dazzling Details. It was so much fun!!
I used some Silver Glimmer Paper (124005) and punched out a star using the star punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack (126882) and added it to the top of the Christmas tree. The "Greetings of the SEASON" sentiment is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set (Clear 128033, Wood 128030).
And here are the goodie bags that I handed out with each card. I went simple and put a packet of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a peppermint candy cane in a baggy and topped it off with this topper that I made using the Top Note Bigz Die (113463). And last minute, I added a tag on each goodie bag but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Sneak Peek Congratulations

Hi! Here is another card that I made to congratulate one of the gals on her new position. This card was signed by her team and we all wished her the best and thanked her for being such a wonderful team leader. It was awesome being a part of her team :)

Congratulations

Hello! Here is a card that I made for our department to sign for someone who is moving on to other adventures. Her last day was last Friday and she was presented with this card, lovely flowers and kinda words from our mister boss man.
This card was filled with various messages from all of us wishing her well and good luck in her new job. We will all miss her but we know that she will be awesome and her new team will be lucky to have her.
I used the Blossom Punch (125603) and the 'congratulations' sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set (Clear 126457, Wood 126455). I also went for this paper because of all the different butterflies. Again, it's a work thing :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Christmas Ornaments

Hello everyone! Last week, we had a crafty lunch at work :) Some of the gals wanted to make some Christmas ornaments so I brought a couple of samples, some supplies and they had fun making some ornaments :)
My friend Melisa made some ornaments for her daughter who's favorite colors are pink and purple. So, I helped trim strips of paper and she filled each ornament with curled up paper then added some silver curling ribbon around the top of the ornament.
Some of the gals went the ink and glitter route to decorate their Christmas ornaments. Here is Charlene rotating her ornament to ink it all up before adding some glitter.
And here is Catherine with her fully inked Christmas ornament. She just added some glitter, so now it's time to shake it up! These ornaments were fun to work with because they were iridescent and added a little something extra to the color of the ornament.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
