My Mom's Birthday Favors

Hey everyone! I have more favors for you guys today. Along with celebrating my cousin's 18th birthday, we celebrated my mom's birthday :) And for her favors, I also went with key chains. I also used a sneak peek item that I am very, very excited about!
I also used some punches and coordinating stamp sets to create the tags that I added to each key chain.
I also found this jewelry tree to display all the key chains on.
I also created these candle favors with the help of MDS and punches and stitched whisper white ribbon.

Here is the table we had in the backyard with all the favors displayed. And there are my cousins' lovely roses and her birthday card, too :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

For May's 18th Birthday

Hello everyone! Here are the favors that I made for my cousin's 18th birthday. The word on the street is that she's an Adventure Time fan so I decided to go with that for the theme. I made some key chains for her friends and family to take home. And to display them, I found this jewelry tree and hung them on different branches.
With the help of MDS, I made these tags and attached them to the key chains. I also used MDS to help with the different characters and printed them out.

And here are her candles and roses that we used for her 18 candles and 18 roses ceremony that we surprised her with. She knew that she was having a party but I wanted to add that extra special event since she was celebrating the big one-eight :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day :)

Curly Cute Thank You

Hello! Here is a thank you card that I made awhile back. My husband asked me to make one for him to give to someone, but I liked it so much, I kept it for myself and made him another one. hehe.
For this card, I used Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake for the color scheme. I also used the En Fran├žais background stamp (109521). I love the look that it gives to cards. The 'THANK YOU' sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set (Clear 120510, Wood 117014). This stamp set is on the retiring list so grab yours while you still can! Click here to check it out and other retiring products.
To add some dimension to the card, I added some Pearl Basic Jewels (119247). These embellishments always add that extra special little touch to cards or projects.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays, birthdays!!

Hello! And HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Here are the banners that I made for the birthday party last weekend. I only made banners for the birthday girls and figured the birthday boys would be OK without one. Boy was I wrong! Well, they were OK without one, but everyone else kept asking why I didn't make them one. hahaha. I love making banners but I didn't think I needed to make 4 of them! lol.
My mom decorated her backyard with lights and balloons and I contributed by bringing the birthday banners. One birthday girl wanted blue so I went with Bashful blue, which is one of the retiring colors.
And for the "18" in the banner, I used some silver glimmer paper. My husband also contributed by suggesting to add stars to her banner so I used the Big Shot to cut those shapes out. And it was a good call.... they looked really nice against the blue.
And the other birthday girl wanted to go with pink so I used Pretty in Pink cardstock which is also retiring! Guess it was a good time to use these colors. I'll miss these colors but I'm excited about the new colors that will be introduced in the new SU catalog :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday! Enjoy the Holiday weekend!!

For May-May

Hello! My little cousin turned 18 a few weeks ago and we got to celebrate with her over the weekend. I sitll can't believe that she's a young lady now! My how time flies! At the party, we played a video for her with all these lovely pictures of her growing up and let me tell you... there was not one dry eye in the room! Ok, maybe just amongst the ladies... but the gents were pretty moved too even though there weren't any tears for them ;) hehe
I had so much fun making this card for her. I went clean and simple but used my favorite tool - the Big Shot - to add some texture, cut out this shape, cut out the "18" and the pretty butterfly.
And you gotta love the SU silver glimmer paper! Adds so much lovely bling-bling to a card or any project :)
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

For Chuck

Hey everyone! Here is the birthday card that I made for my brother this year. For the past few years, I've been taking themes from our childhood and incorporated them into his birthday cards. This year, I wasn't sure what I was going to do until Amazon delivered a new toy to our house. It was Lion-O's sword from Thundercats! And the inspiration hit me!!
I used the 2-1/2" circle punch (120906) and the large oval punch to make the shapes of the sword and the eye of the sword. And for the colors, I went with Real Red, Basic Black, Basic Grey and Whisper White.
The "happy birthday" sentiment is from the retiring Family Reunion stamp set (Clear 122712, Wood 122710). I do love that stamp set because of all the different people you can make projects for. Get it while you still can!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :)

For my Mom

Hello!! Over the weekend, we got to celebrate my mom's birthday and here is the card that Ben and I gave her. To me, she is the World's Greatest Mom :) and I wanted to let her know that because I don't think I tell her enough.... every day doesn't seem nearly enough to tell my mommy how thankful we are for all that she does for us :)
For this "Mom" sentiment, I turned to the Family Reunion stamp set (Clear 122712, Wood 122710), which is on the retired list this year. And I absolutely LOVE this stamp set so grab it while you can before it's gone!! Oh and since my mom loves flowers, I had to add some flowers from the 5/8" Flower Trim (126869 ), which you can find in the Spring Catalog.
I also used another one of my faves.... the "World's Greatest Wood-Mount Stamp Set (126270 ), which is also on the retired list so grab that one, too!! hehe. And don't you just love framelits? I do! I used the Labels Collection Framelits (125598) and I love how they look when they are layered.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

I just love how curly this congratulations sentiment looks. Isn't it so cute?
And the flower trim is so fun to play with and so is the ruffled ribbon. And the Every Day Enchantment DSP which you can still find in the clearance rack.

Another card for Vicky

Hey everyone! Here is a card that my friend Charlene made for our dear friend Vicky. The group got to send her birthday wishes in this card and we gave it to her during her birthday lunch outing :)
I love the brayer technique that Charlene uses on her cards. She did a quick little demo for us at lunch the other day and it is pretty cool!!
And adding this stamped image on the card gives it that extra special little touch.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!

thank you

Hello! Here is a thank you card for you guys today. My husband's aunt is so sweet. She always remembers to send a card for special occasions. A birthday card came in the mail awhile back and my hubby is so cute because he asked me to make a thank you card so that he could send it to her.
I just love this DSP. Such pretty colors and fun patterns. And I had to use some designer buttons and baker's twine to add some embellishments to the card.
And of course, I added a banner. hehe. But this time, I did something a little different and made the top half plain so that I could stamp the "thank you" sentiment and used DSP for the bottom half of the sentiment.
Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday dresses

Hey everyone! I have a guest stamper for you guys today :) My friend Charlene was nice enough to share these with me the other day. She made a couple of birthday cards for her sisters and aren't they just so adorable!?!?!?! Love the dresses!!!! When she showed me how she created these dresses, I was so inspired! Such a great idea :) And gotta love those bits of ribbon pieces as belts for the dresses.
